Nike Golf has introduced the VRS Covert 2.0 and VRS Covert 2.0 Tour drivers, which come with the promise of higher ball speeds, improved distance and greater forgiveness.
Following on from the original Nike VRS Covert driver, high-speed cavity-back technology redistributes weight to the heel and toe for increased distance and more stability across the entire driver face.

"We've re-engineered the VRS Covert 2.0 driver with enhancements to our high-speed cavity-back technology that allows athletes to experience more forgiving distance than ever before," said Nate Radcliffe, Nike Golf director of engineering.
"The new Nike VRS Covert 2.0 driver features a redesigned cavity with Fly-Brace technology that ties the sole to the crown.
"By stiffening the rear portion of the club, more energy is transferred to the face at impact.
"The end result is even greater ball speed and up to six yards of distance gain over last year's model."
Nike's VRS Covert 2.0 and VRS Covert 2.0 Tour drivers also feature a larger, reengineered NexCOR face for a increased ball speed and FlexLoft adjustability, which allows players to customise loft and face angle position (8.5 - 12.5 degrees adjustability).
The likes of Rory McIlroy, Nick Watney and Kevin Chappell have already but the VRS Covert 2.0 into play.
"We work very closely with our athletes and the new VRS Covert 2.0 drivers deliver on the shape, stability and speed they have asked for," added Radcliffe.
"The added stability and speed realised by our athletes with VRS Covert 2.0 allows for an aggressive approach off the tee, which is essential in the modern game."
The Nike VRS Covert 2.0 driver and VRS Covert 2.0 Pro driver are available from February 1, 2014.
The standard version will cost £250, with the Tour model's RRP set at £350. Both come with the second generation Mitsubishi Rayon Kuro Kage shaft.
