Srixon has announced the launch of the latest balls in their Z-Series – The Z-STAR, due to hit golf stores in late February.
The Z-STAR and Z-STAR X use ultra thin urethane technology, and are designed to offer improved distance, spin and feel, courtesy of a larger core and softer cover. Gallery: Srixon Z-STAR and Z-STAR X golf balls
With a 90 compression, the Srixon Z-STAR is designed to suit low and mid handicap players looking for a combination of optimum distance, spin control and soft feel.
The 104 compression Z-STAR X is aimed at players who seek explosive distance and high spin performance, resulting from new Energetic Growth Core technology that enhances ball speed.
Consistent ball flight is assured with 324 large, shallow dimples that help reduce wind resistance, whilst the new soft cover improves spin performance from all types of lie.
More than 250 Tour players worldwide are using the new Z-STAR ball, including Henrik Stenson who used the balls during his recent victories at the Nedbank Challenge and World Cup.
Meanwhile, three-time Major winner Vijay Singh, has recently signed multi-year contracts with Cleveland Golf/Srixon.
