Ping are to follow up the hugely successful G10 series with new Rapture V2 driver, fairway woods, hybrids and irons.

The new Rapture V2 driver consists of a 460cc titanium head with tungsten weights situated near the heel and toe. The tungsten weighting is designed to produce low spin with high launch. The driver will be available in 9°, 10.5°, 12° and 13.5° lofts and with a distinctive bright green PING TFC939D and Mitsubishi Diamana Blue shafts as standard.

The Rapture V2 fairway woods have a steel body with a tungsten sole plate, again for higher launch and lower spin. The head will be larger and shallower than previous models for improved forgiveness. Models include 16°, 17.5°, 19° and 22° options. The standard shaft options will be the PING TFC939F and Mitsubishi JavlnFX.

The Rapture V2 hybrids will also have a steel body with a tungsten sole plate. A slightly longer face profile expands the hitting area compared to the original Rapture hybrid. The utility will be available in 17°, 20°, 23° and 27° lofts.

The Rapture V2 iron will be oversized and designed to offer maximum forgiveness. The face is lightweight titanium while the body is stainless steel. This re-positions weight in the sole of the iron, again in the form of tungsten. Stronger lofts in each iron gives added distance. Available in 3-9, PW, UW, SW & LW and standard shafts are the PING TFC939I and PING AWT.

"Our newest products are the result of our focus on multi-metal technology. Each of the new designs combines key properties of its various materials to optimize performance," said Ping Chairman & CEO John Solheim. "The common material throughout all of the new products is tungsten. From the driver to the putters, we've utilized the density of tungsten in strategic locations to optimize weight distribution and maximize performance. Once again, our engineers have out-done themselves."

The Rapture V2 range will be available mid-September.
