Whistling Straits hole by hole guide: hole 10 - Voyageur / 361 yards / Par 4
The start of a three-hole stretch that is eminently scorable for the field. This is a classic risk and reward hole that requires a decision to be made off the tee. You have three options on this hole; lay up short of the bunker in the middle of the fairway, carry this bunker which is 240 yards from the tee to set up a short wedge shot or finally to take a rip at the green.
This will probably only be possible in favourable wind conditions unless the likes of Johnson and Watson are really prepared to go hard at it! Punishment for inaccuracy off the tee here will be severe and you can expect to find deep bunkers guarding the green lined with thick rough.
