Who Is Lee Westwood’s Wife?
Get to know the former world number one's wife and caddie, Helen Storey, a little bit better
Lee Westwood is one of the most recognised golfers in the world and is one of the few players to have won tournaments on five continents and in four different decades, the 1990s, 2000s, 2010s and 2020s.
After enjoying a stellar 2021, in which he finished runner-up at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship, he also tied the knot with his wife and caddie, Helen Storey. Get to know her a little bit better here.

It is believed that Westwood and Storey got together in late 2015, with the pair meeting through Westwood's friend, Graham Wylie, who is married to Storey's sister and actually owns Close House Golf Club in Newcastle, where Westwood is attached.
Storey, who is from Newcastle and a fitness consultant, is now seen regularly caddying for husband, taking up the bag at the 2018 Made in Denmark tournament prior to the Ryder Cup
Their biggest win together came later that year, when Westwood picked up his 24th European Tour title at the Nedbank Challenge. Following the victory, the Englishman has not only had Storey on the bag, but also his son, Sam.
In 2021, following a great run of tournaments at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship, Westwood and Storey would marry in Las Vegas a week prior to the US Open.
Speaking at a US Open press conference, Westwood said: “This week’s going to be new — it’s going to be husband and wife. She might kind of give me the elbow a bit more often, but it’s a very relaxed relationship anyway. We just enjoy ourselves, trying to have a good time out there.”

He was also asked if the tournament at Torrey Pines counted as the honeymoon but he joked with this response; “Should do, shouldn’t it? I keep telling her that, but I think she’s got her eye on somewhere where I don’t take the golf clubs.”
At the 2021 Players Championship, Bryson DeChambeau described Storey as Westwood's "secret weapon," adding "I think Helen is a big part of his (recent) success. She's keeping him steady and level-headed and she's a rock. Keeps his mind focused on the right things, and she's been awesome for him, and that's one of his secret weapons, I think."
As well as caddying, Storey is actually a pretty good golfer herself. At the 2022 Players Championship on the Wednesday, she took part in the annual caddie competition where each caddie has one swing on the famous 17th hole, with the closest the pin earning money donated by players earlier in the week.
On the 17th, Storey would hit the green, earning the applause of the watching crowd, as well as positive comments from fellow professionals online.
