<p>Released in January 2024, the Ping G430 Max 10K driver is without doubt one of the <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/best-golf-deals/best-golf-drivers-65086">best golf drivers</a> ever made, going down a storm on the professional circuits and ever-popular with golfers of all levels.</p><p><em>Golf Monthly's</em> golf driver expert <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/author/joe-ferguson">Joe Ferguson</a> not only gave the G430 Max 10K a faultless 5 out of 5 star review, but went as far as saying the G430 Max 10K genuinely made golf easier and more enjoyable. The main story is how Ping have managed to combine a long, low spinning performance head with incredible forgiveness, with Joe stating this was one most stable and forgiving driver heads he has ever used. </p><p>As one of the <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/features/the-game/10-best-ping-clubs-of-all-time-170590https://www.golfmonthly.com/features/the-game/10-best-ping-clubs-of-all-time-170590">best Ping clubs</a> of all time, discounts on the G430 Max 10K are rare and don't last long, making this Ping deal worth grabbing fast. <p>The Ping G430 Hybrid is one of the <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/best-golf-deals/best-golf-hybrid-clubs-76420">best hybrid clubs</a> we have ever tested – it's superbly versatile, delivers confidence and offers genuine game-improving performance for every level of golfer. Why do we bring this up? Well this club has recently been replaced by the <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/reviews/hybrids/this-new-club-can-hit-all-the-shots-and-is-a-must-try-this-year">Ping G440 Hybrid</a> which means the G430 is on sale. Right now, at Dick's Sporting Goods, you can pick up the G430 model with a brilliant 20% discount, reduced to $239 from $299 which is the lowest price we have seen on the top-notch club.</p><p>Our reviewer, Sam De'Ath, noted that the Ping G430 hybrid continued the brand's production of some of the most versatile and forgiving hybrids on the market. He also highlighted that the G430 hybrid comes with everything Ping does well – clean, stylish aesthetics, and performance that makes it easier to play your best golf more often. This performance also meant the G430 grabbed a much-coveted spot in the <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/editors-choice-2023" target="_blank">Golf Monthly Editors Choice</a> listings back in 2023. If you want to read Sam's full review, I have included a link below.</p><div class="product"><a data-dimension112="62ec1921-8fc4-4960-8bf2-bf12eb22c83e" data-action="Deal Block" data-label="Ping G430 Hybrid | 20% off at Dick's Sporting Goods Was $299, now $239" data-dimension48="Ping G430 Hybrid | 20% off at Dick's Sporting Goods Was $299, now $239" href="https://dicks-sporting-goods.ryvx.net/c/221109/315573/4835?subId1=golfmonthly-us-7077213409164627904&sharedId=golfmonthly-us&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dickssportinggoods.com%2Fp%2Fping-g430-hybrid-22pngmg430hybltcbhyb%2F22pngmg430hybltcbhyb" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><figure class="van-image-figure " ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' style="max-width:325px;"><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:100.00%;"><img id="SQdnvZijbuS7kvNFM3BWBb" name="Screenshot 2025-01-21 at 12.55.01.jpg" caption="" alt="" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/SQdnvZijbuS7kvNFM3BWBb.jpg" mos="" align="middle" fullscreen="" width="325" height="325" attribution="" endorsement="" credit="" class=""></p></div></div></figure></a><p><strong>Ping G430 Hybrid | 20% off at Dick's Sporting Goods<br></strong><a href="https://dicks-sporting-goods.ryvx.net/c/221109/315573/4835?subId1=golfmonthly-us-7077213409164627904&sharedId=golfmonthly-us&u=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.dickssportinggoods.com%2Fp%2Fping-g430-hybrid-22pngmg430hybltcbhyb%2F22pngmg430hybltcbhyb" target="_blank" data-dimension112="62ec1921-8fc4-4960-8bf2-bf12eb22c83e" data-action="Deal Block" data-label="Ping G430 Hybrid | 20% off at Dick's Sporting Goods Was $299, now $239" data-dimension48="Ping G430 Hybrid | 20% off at Dick's Sporting Goods Was $299, now $239" data-dimension25=""><strong>Was $299, now $239</strong></a></p><p>The Ping G430 Hybrid received top marks from Golf Monthly tester Sam De’Ath, who said, <em>"The Ping G430 Hybrid combines performance with immaculate looks. <article>
<p>The SensorDry 2.5 Graphene Jacket is a big innovation from Ping as it is the first time the brand has used Graphene in its apparel range.</p><p>Graphene is comprised of a single layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice and is said to be the lightest, strongest, and toughest material ever discovered. It was isolated in 2004 by two researchers at The University of Manchester, whose work won them the Nobel Prize in Physics.</p><p>Ping has incorporated a Graphene print to the inside of the fabric for the SensorDry 2.5 jacket, which helps conduct and retain heat. <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/features/the-game/how-golf-monthly-tests-products-241278">We tested it</a> over a number of rounds to see what it was like to play golf in, and we absolutely loved it.</p><p>The first thing you&apos;ll notice when touching the SensorDry 2.5 Graphene Jacket is just how lightweight it is. It&apos;s unlike any other waterproof jacket I&apos;ve ever had my hands on to immediately give you a feeling that this is a special garment.</p><figure class="van-image-figure inline-layout" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' style="max-width:6192px;"><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:66.67%;"><img id="LvD45bA3oFwJkLkAMq3SXF" name="221013_wildernesse_0197.jpg" alt="Close up of the Ping SensorDry 2.5 Graphene Jacket" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/LvD45bA3oFwJkLkAMq3SXF.jpg" mos="" align="middle" fullscreen="" width="6192" height="4128" attribution="" endorsement="" class=""></p></div></div><figcaption itemprop="caption description" class=" inline-layout"><span class="credit" itemprop="copyrightHolder">(Image credit: Future)</span></figcaption></figure><p>It certainly is a special jacket. It&apos;s supremely comfortable, has a good amount of stretch and comes with adjustable wrist cuffs to ensure a nice snug fit. Fit-wise, it is very comfortable but potentially comes up a little big and it&apos;s stretchy so golfers in-between sizes may want to go down a size. Because of how light and stretchy it is, it&apos;s a joy to play golf in and very easy to move and hit golf shots whilst wearing.</p><p>The material is fully waterproof and repels water, drying remarkably quickly. We held it under a tap and the jacket was bone dry almost immediately. For such a thin layer of material this is seriously impressive, and it&apos;s also surprisingly warm so you really won&apos;t need too many layers underneath it.</p><figure class="van-image-figure inline-layout" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' style="max-width:6192px;"><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:66.67%;"><img id="5whE6a32DpfWpaZAtDEZDR" name="221013_wildernesse_0191.jpg" alt="Close up of the wrist cuff on the Ping SensorDry 2.5 Graphene Jacket" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/5whE6a32DpfWpaZAtDEZDR.jpg" mos="" align="middle" fullscreen="" width="6192" height="4128" attribution="" endorsement="" class=""></p></div></div><figcaption itemprop="caption description" class=" inline-layout"><span class="credit" itemprop="copyrightHolder">(Image credit: Future)</span></figcaption></figure><p>You get a fully waterproof zip and two zipped hand pockets for storage and to keep your valuables or scorecard nice and dry. We felt the zips were slightly stiff and difficult to do up and down, so would say that this is the only real negative of the incredible SensorDry 2.5 Graphene Jacket.</p><p>As with Ping ranges through the years, you&apos;ll get a bright blue colorway, this time with some lovely black detailing, as well as an all-black version. <p>From the moment you unpackage the Ping SensorDry Pro jacket, it is clear that it is one of the <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/best-golf-deals/best-waterproof-golf-jackets-206483">best waterproof golf jackets</a> on the market.</p><p>This fully waterproof garment, coming with an impressive three-year waterproof guarantee, is eye-catching in its design with the front panel coming in either blue, red or black with black or grey arms.</p><p>I wouldn&apos;t say I was a massive fan of the blue/black colour I was testing but that is, of course, personal preference.</p><p>An all-black, all-navy or all-grey version would have been preferred but you will certainly stand out on the course with the blue and red options.</p><p>The jacket is made with a stretchy material and it&apos;s certainly lightweight, giving a very comfortable fit and nothing that would put you off from producing good golf swings.</p><p>An extremely comfortable part of the jacket is the cuffs, which have an elastic inner to create a snug and soft fit around your wrists.</p><p>The outer cuffs are velcro-adjustable so there is no need to worry about water seeping down your arms.</p><p>However, saying that, the adjustability could be slightly tighter on your wrists but the inner elastic wrist will stop water seeping in if you can&apos;t quite get a tight-enough fit.</p><p>Another way the jacket keeps water out is thanks to an adjustable neck cuff, which can be tightened to ensure that water doesn&apos;t run down your neck and back.</p><p>We found this to be very effective.</p><p>The SensorPro Dry jacket comes with three pockets - a chest pocket and two lower front pockets.</p><p>The lower pockets come with both zips and velcro.</p><p>This may seem like over-kill but the velcro does come in handy when you want quick access during the round for things like your golf ball, tees, pitch mark repairer and so on.</p><p>You do also get added peace of mind with the zips that everything in the pockets will stay bone dry during bad weather.</p><figure class="van-image-figure inline-layout" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' style="max-width:3648px;"><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:75.00%;"><img id="paJPdyukgCpVYBAc64tNoF" name="IMG_20211106_153125_1.jpg" alt="Ping SensorDry Pro jacket" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/paJPdyukgCpVYBAc64tNoF.jpg" mos="" align="middle" fullscreen="" width="3648" height="2736" attribution="" endorsement="" class=""></p></div></div><figcaption itemprop="caption description" class=" inline-layout"><span class="credit" itemprop="copyrightHolder">(Image credit: Future)</span></figcaption></figure><p>The chest pocket is secure with a zip fixing, so that&apos;s where you may want to store valuables like your phone or a small GPS device, or simply use it as a safe place to store your scorecard.</p><p>With the lightweight, flexible materials used, the SensorDry Pro alone will not keep you sufficiently warm enough during the coldest of weathers so a base layer or mid-layer underneath is certainly required throughout the winter.</p><p>For shoulder seasons and summer, this does mean that the jacket shouldn&apos;t be too hot as it does its job in protecting you from wind and rain whilst not being a full-on winter coat as you&apos;d expect.</p><p><strong>How tall am I/what is my build?</strong></p><p>I am 5&apos;11" and of stocky build. </p><p><strong>What do I normally wear - does it come up big/small?</strong></p><p>Usually a large.</p><p><strong>How did it fit/feel/perform?</strong></p><p>The fit was perfect for me and the lightweight, stretchy make-up of the jacket ensures a very comfortable wear.</p><p>It performs great and has no adverse affects on your golf swing. It is slightly loud during motion I would say, however.</p><p><strong>Any extra details you notice?</strong></p><p>The elasticated wrist cuffs are superb and certainly something I wasn&apos;t expecting.</p><p>The use of velcro and zips for the front pockets is also a nice touch.</p><p><strong>Can you wear it off the course? </strong></p><p>On the whole I would say no due to my personal taste as well as the fact that it is not overly warm.</p><p>However, it would certainly do the job if you&apos;re out hiking or cycling and want something lightweight to keep the elements at bay.</p>

As part of that feature, we teamed up with Ping to offer two lucky readers The Ultimate Ping Play Your Best Experience.</p><p>And so it was that in late November, Charlie Parker and Paul Britnell found themselves tucking into a hearty breakfast in the Gainsborough clubhouse close to Ping’s headquarters ahead of the big day, having been carefully selected from a cast of hundreds who put themselves forward for this incredible opportunity.</p><p>Shortly afterwards, they headed down to Ping’s European Custom Fitting Centre to warm up, before venturing out onto the closing stretch of the Lakes Course so Barney could see how their games held up in the heat of battle and provide tips and advice as required. It was then back to the Fitting Centre for some intensive one-on-one coaching with Barney based on what he had observed.</p><p>Finally, and perhaps most importantly, it was time for Charlie and Paul to undergo comprehensive Ping custom fittings from driver down to putter with Ping Product Specialists, Paul Rymer and Ed James, in the quest to help them both get the very most out of their swings.</p><p>Read on to find out how Charlie’s and Paul’s Ultimate Ping Play Your Best Experiences unfolded…</p><p><strong>Charlie Parker Handicap:</strong> 9 <strong>Home Club:</strong> Chester GC</p><p><strong>Charlie says:</strong> Having recently returned to playing regularly at my home club, I’ve seen a noticeable improvement in ball-striking and scoring, and feel I can achieve a low single-figure handicap. My current clubs have been bought for me over time and are fitted with various shafts and heads, which I feel is hampering my ability to achieve my goal.</p><p><strong>Barney’s advice:</strong> Charlie’s lower half was a little overactive. Coming into impact he tended to spin out and lose control, especially with the driver, so we worked on getting his backswing a little more stable. Trackman also showed that he needed to get his downswing a little shallower, so we did a drill where you pull the right foot back to not only help with that, but also give him more extension down the line. He was also releasing a little early with his irons, so we used the smash bag to instil the feeling of the club releasing correctly at impact.</p><p> </p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="vs9zWDZkQcXgVDs8tUmeBS" name="" alt="GM Top 25 Coach Barney Puttick working with Charlie Parker on his swing" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/vs9zWDZkQcXgVDs8tUmeBS.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/vs9zWDZkQcXgVDs8tUmeBS.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div><figcaption itemprop="caption description" class="pull-"><span class="caption-text">GM Top 25 Coach Barney Puttick working with Charlie Parker on his swing </span></figcaption></figure><p><strong>Fitted for</strong></p><p><strong>Driver:</strong> Ping G 10.5˚ LS Tec, Ping Tour 65 X-flex <strong>3-wood:</strong> Ping G 14.5˚, Ping Tour 65 X-flex <strong>Hybrid:</strong> Ping G 19˚, Ping Tour 90 stiff flex <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/reviews/irons/ping-iblade-irons-review" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/reviews/irons/ping-iblade-irons-review"><strong>Irons 4-PW:</strong> Ping iBlade,</a> Ping Z-Z65 stiff flex <strong>Wedges:</strong> Ping Glide 50˚/SS, 54˚/SS, 60˚/TS, Ping Z-Z65 stiff flex <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/reviews/putters/ping-vault-putters-review" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/reviews/putters/ping-vault-putters-review"><strong>Putter:</strong> Ping Vault Voss</a>, slate finish, 34in</p><iframe src="https://content.jwplatform.com/players/knSB1CV6.html" id="knSB1CV6" title="PING custom-fitting and coaching session 9-handicap golfer" width="600" height="338" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" allowfullscreen></iframe><p><strong>Fitter’s feedback:</strong> Charlie is 6ft 3in but had been using standard-length irons so we went half an inch longer and a degree and a half more upright as his bad shot was consistently right. We also went to a slightly lighter shaft, and the overall effect was improved ball flight and ball speed, and a much tighter dispersion. Charlie tends to get a little steep with his driver, generating too low a launch and too much spin, so we worked on that for a while before opting for a 10.5˚ low-spinning LS Tec with an extra stiff shaft. A third wedge improved Charlie’s gaps at the short end of the bag.</p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="Z3LzbmdcaVmhDD2aXetgyZ" name="" alt="Ping fitter Paul Rymer working towards the optimum club fit for Charlie Parker" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Z3LzbmdcaVmhDD2aXetgyZ.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/Z3LzbmdcaVmhDD2aXetgyZ.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div><figcaption itemprop="caption description" class="pull-"><span class="caption-text">Ping fitter Paul Rymer working towards the optimum club fit for Charlie Parker </span></figcaption></figure><p><strong>Charlie’s feedback:</strong> It was a real surprise to be fitted for extra stiff shafts in my driver and 3-wood, but it definitely helped me control the ball better. The lie angle tape showed I was striking it very centrally with the longer iron shafts too. I picked up between five and ten yards throughout the bag, which I was really happy with.</p><p><strong>Paul Britnell Handicap:</strong> 23 <strong>Home Club:</strong> The Oxfordshire GC</p><p><strong>Paul says:</strong> I’ve been struggling with two aspects recently - my ability to drive the ball without slicing it, and my distance control from 70 yards and in. I’m hoping that spending time with Barney and getting a full Ping custom-fit will help me to play my best, reduce my handicap and fulfil my golfing ambition of winning a club tournament.</p><p><strong>Barney’s advice:</strong> Paul’s done really well for someone who’s not been playing long. He tends to lose his angles by dropping his lead shoulder, which means he then comes over the top with the club coming in too steeply often leading to a slice, so we worked on an exercise to keep him more level through the swing. He was also using too much loft near the green and getting too handsy. So we worked on pushing his hands a little further in front and getting a flatter right wrist at impact [Paul’s left-handed] for more solid contact and more consistent spin.</p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="KM3YLRPDpnoGe2hYAhBGaA" name="" alt="GM Top 25 Coach Barney Puttick working out on the course at Gainsborough GC with Paul Britnell" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/KM3YLRPDpnoGe2hYAhBGaA.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/KM3YLRPDpnoGe2hYAhBGaA.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div><figcaption itemprop="caption description" class="pull-"><span class="caption-text">GM Top 25 Coach Barney Puttick working out on the course at Gainsborough GC with Paul Britnell </span></figcaption></figure><p><strong>Fitted for</strong></p><p><a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/gear-news/ping-g-series-number-one-seller-in-all-four-categories-in-the-uk-89134" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/gear-news/ping-g-series-number-one-seller-in-all-four-categories-in-the-uk-89134"><strong>Driver:</strong> Ping G 10˚ SF Tec</a>, Ping ALTA 55 regular <strong>5-wood:</strong> Ping G 19˚ SF Tec, Ping ALTA 65 regular <strong>Hybrid:</strong> Ping G 22˚, Ping ALTA 70 regular <strong>Irons 5-PW:</strong> Ping G, Ping CFS G regular graphite <strong>Wedges:</strong> Ping Glide 50˚/SS, 54˚/SS, 58˚/SS, Ping CFS G regular graphite <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/reviews/putters/ping-ketsch-mid-putter-review" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/reviews/putters/ping-ketsch-mid-putter-review"><strong>Putter:</strong> Ping Cadence TR Ketsch</a> Strong, 35in</p><iframe src="https://content.jwplatform.com/players/YQdOkPg5.html" id="YQdOkPg5" title="PING custom-fitting and coaching session 23-handicap golfer" width="600" height="338" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" allowfullscreen></iframe><p><strong>Fitter’s feedback:</strong> Our G iron gave Paul the forgiveness he wanted, while a slightly longer shaft helped with posture. To Paul’s surprise, he loved the feel of graphite shafts, and gained about seven yards with his irons. A new 22˚ hybrid filled a gap at the long end, while a G SF Tec 5-wood straightened out some of his slice tendencies. It was the same with the G SF Tec driver, where we also came down a couple of degrees from his current 12˚ model to improve spin rates and ball flight. A slightly shorter shaft gave Paul more control, and he picked up 15 yards off the tee.</p><figure class="van-image-figure pull-" data-bordeaux-image-check ><div class='image-full-width-wrapper'><div class='image-widthsetter' ><p class="vanilla-image-block" style="padding-top:56.25%;"><img id="jkBPzE738exMuQ348S8Sac" name="" alt="Ping fitter Ed James helps Paul pinpoint the right putter length and type for his stroke" src="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/jkBPzE738exMuQ348S8Sac.jpg" mos="https://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/jkBPzE738exMuQ348S8Sac.jpg" align="" fullscreen="" width="" height="" attribution="" endorsement="" class="pull-"></p></div></div><figcaption itemprop="caption description" class="pull-"><span class="caption-text">Ping fitter Ed James helps Paul pinpoint the right putter length and type for his stroke </span></figcaption></figure><p><strong>Paul’s feedback:</strong> It was an amazing experience – much more high-tech than I expected. There’s so much data to analyse and the guys here are very knowledgeable. A lot of it for me was done on feel, but the numbers don’t lie – each time the numbers improved, the feel was better too. I want to get down to 18, if not lower, and feel I can do it, especially with the great tips from Barney too.</p>

The Ping Tour head is traditional in shape and features a tuning port in the cavity designed to <strong>improve forgiveness</strong> and help to provide a solid feel.</p><p>The Tour wedge (£113) will be available in 47° (SS), 50° (SS), 52° (SS), 54°(SS, WS), 56° (SS, WS), 58° (SS, WS, TS) and 60° (SS, WS, TS).</p><p><strong>Video review:</strong> <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Z8oPC10-LA">Ping Tour wedge video review</a></p><p><strong>Gallery:</strong> <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/gear-galleries/wedge-galleries/ping-tour-wedge-pictures-37811" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/equipment/galleries/wedges/34257/1/0/Ping-Tour-wedge-pictures.html">Ping Tour wedge picture gallery</a></p><p><strong>Video reveal:</strong> <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hsn1aJOXJ64&feature=youtu.be">Ping Tour wedge technology explained</a></p><p><strong>Ping launch:</strong> <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/news/tour-news/ping-anser-range-launched-6968" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/tours-and-news/tournews/530215/ping-anser-range-launched.html">Read more about the Ping Anser launch</a></p>

<p>The <strong><a href="http://www.ping.com/welcome.aspx?langType=1033">Ping</a> Anser Forged irons</strong> are the follow-up to the first forged Ping iron in more than 40 years and feature a new progressive design. Stabilisation bars in the back of the <strong>Ping Anser Forged</strong> long irons help lower the centre of gravity and launch the ball on a higher flight. These bars get increasingly vertical and thicker to help produce <strong>a more penetrating flight with high spin</strong>.</p><p>The <strong>Ping Anser Forged</strong> heads also get progressively smaller through to the short irons, to offer more control in the scoring clubs. The forged steel body features a dense tungsten weight and a hollow sole. This combination is designed to provide <strong>added forgiveness</strong>, but with a forged feel.</p><p>The Ping Anser Forged irons (£160 per club) will be available in 3-PW with Project X <strong>5.0, 5.5, 6.0 and 6.5</strong> steel shafts and TFC 800i graphite shafts in Soft R, R and S flexes.</p><p><strong>Video review:</strong> <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxTQYB68u2c">Ping Anser Forged irons video review</a></p><p><strong>Gallery:</strong> <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/gear-galleries/iron-galleries/ping-anser-irons-pictures-37817" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/equipment/galleries/irons/34256/1/0/Ping-Anser-Forged-irons.html">Ping Anser Forged irons picture gallery</a></p><p><strong>Irons reveal:</strong> <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7UxRdXBHP8o&feature=youtu.be">Ping Anser Forged irons technology explained</a></p><p><a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/news/tour-news/ping-anser-range-launched-6968" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/tours-and-news/tournews/530215/ping-anser-range-launched.html">Read more about the Ping Anser launch</a></p>

A weight port in the rear of the sole produces a mid to high launch and low levels of spin. There is more surface area low on the face to improve contact at impact, and the back of the sole is tapered to help ensure a clean contact.</p><p>The adjustable design is lightweight and small so that it doesn't affect the aerodynamics of the head. The Ping Anser fairway wood (£220) will be available in <strong>14.5°, 16.5° and 18.5°</strong> lofts, with the Ping TFC 800F shaft as standard in Soft R, R, S and X flexes. Adding loft to each club will slightly close the face and reducing loft will open it.</p><p><strong>Video review:</strong> <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VcVVb9JDYq4">Ping Anser fairway wood video review</a></p><p><strong>Gallery:</strong> <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/gear-galleries/fairway-galleries/ping-anser-fairway-wood-pictures-37828" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/equipment/galleries/fairways/34254/1/0/Ping-Anser-fairway-wood.html">Ping Anser fairway wood picture gallery</a></p><p><a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/news/tour-news/ping-anser-range-launched-6968" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/tours-and-news/tournews/530215/ping-anser-range-launched.html">Read more about the Ping Anser launch</a></p>

The set is aimed at players looking for compact heads but with more forgiveness at the top end.</p><p>This is achieved thanks to a multi-metal composition that should help improve consistency and distance control. The placement of a tungsten weight makes the clubs easier to shape and control than the <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/reviews/irons/ping-i15-irons" data-original-url="/equipment/reviews/irons/26653/1/ping-i15-irons-review.html">Ping i15</a>.</p><p><span style="font-weight: bold">Golf Monthly Forum</span>: <a href="http://forums.golf-monthly.co.uk/showthread.php?34222-PING-i20&highlight=ping">Your views on the new Ping i20 range</a></p><p>Golf Monthly received the new Ping i20 range at the back end of 2011 and you can see <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/gear-galleries/iron-galleries/new-ping-i20-golf-range-39039" data-original-url="/galleries/34167/1/0/ping-i20-exclusive-new-pictures.html">pictures of the new i20 range here</a>.</p><p>A stabilisation bar in the back of each head controls the vibrations at impact to help improve feel. Aesthetically the cavity design gives a very different look compared to other Ping clubs.</p><p>This is particularly due to the inclusion of a ferrule, which has not been used on an i series iron before. <a href="http://www.ping.com/default.aspx?swftype=cardtrain" target="_blank">Ping says</a> this is to create a more traditional look at address.</p><p>The new Ping i20 irons are expected to be available from mid March with an rrp of £90 (s) and £110 (g) per club.</p><p>Meanwhile, the new i20 woods from Ping include a <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/brands/ping-news/ping-i20-driver-launched-8743" data-original-url="/tours-and-news/tournews/529509/ping-i20-driver-launched.html">new Ping i20 driver</a>, <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/brands/ping-news/ping-i20-fairway-woods-launched-8740" data-original-url="/tours-and-news/tournews/529510/ping-i20-fairway-woods-launched.html">Ping i20 fairway wood</a> and <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/brands/ping-news/ping-i20-hybrid-launched-8746" data-original-url="/tours-and-news/tournews/529508/ping-i20-hybrid-launched.html">Ping i20 hybrid</a>. The whole range is aimed at players with faster swing speeds who want to keep spin down but still want some forgiveness.</p><p>Ping's new i20 woods feature a matt black finish designed to reduce glare and look sleek at address. The driver (£299) has an aerodynamic 460cc head that should enhance club-head speed without sacrificing accuracy.</p><p>More curve to the design of the crown improves the way the air moves over the club to produce 30% less drag than the Ping G20 driver. The stock shaft is half an inch shorter than the G20 to offer added control. Tungsten weighting in the head makes the design more forgiving than the i15 though.  </p><p>The fairway wood (£200) has a compact and traditional shaped stainless steel head that is designed to produce a high launch. The new <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/brands/ping-news/ping-i20-fairway-woods-launched-8740" data-original-url="/tours-and-news/tournews/529510/ping-i20-fairway-woods-launched.html">Ping i20 fairway wood</a> is more compact than the G20 but has a neutral bias, rather than the fade bias of the i15. It will be available as a 3 strong, 3 and 5 wood option.</p><p>The <a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/brands/ping-news/ping-i20-hybrid-launched-8746" data-original-url="/tours-and-news/tournews/529508/ping-i20-hybrid-launched.html">Ping i20 hybrid</a> (£160) is also compact but a deep COG should help produce a penetrating flight. Forgiveness has been enhanced across the face to help improve forgiveness. The leading edge is squarer and the head is shorter from heel to toe, which should make it easier to hit from deep rough. </p><p>Visit the Golf Monthly homepage for video reviews</p><p><a href="http://www.ping.com/default.aspx?swftype=cardtrain" target="_blank">Visit Ping for further details</a></p>

<p>Last year, <strong>Ping</strong> released details of a new <strong>Ping i20</strong> <strong>driver</strong> that hit the shelves in mid March 2012. The 460cc head has been designed to offer optimum forgiveness and the aerodynamic design should create greater clubhead speed through impact.</p><p><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HBv9gib_TjA" target="_blank">Ping i20 driver video review</a></p><p>One of the key design features in the new Ping i20 driver is the crown. Designed to be more aerodynamic it should reduce drag to increase clubhead speed. The head however, should still provide Ping's trademark forgiveness thanks to the two tungsten sole weights that increase MOI and help improve launch conditions.</p><p>As with the rest of the woods in the range, the PING i20 driver has a striking matt black finish that is designed to reduce glare.</p><p>The <strong>Ping i20 driver</strong> is available with two different stock shaft options; a Ping TFC 707H for lower spinning shots or a Project X Black for a higher trajectory. The new Ping i20 driver will have a recommended retail price of £299.</p><p><a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/gear-galleries/iron-galleries/new-ping-i20-golf-range-39039" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/galleries/34167/1/0/ping-i20-exclusive-new-pictures.html">Ping i20 pictures gallery</a></p>

<p><strong>Ping</strong> has announced details of a new iron design called <strong>Ping i20</strong>. The new set will replace the i15 clubs and sit between the players' S56 and more forgiving G20 offerings.</p><p><a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2SvWze4gl0o">Ping i20 irons video review</a></p><p>The new model is aimed at players searching for a compact, classic look but with a little more forgiveness in the longer irons. The long irons are designed to be slightly larger, higher launching, and more forgiving. The smaller short irons feature less offset and should improve distance control. Tungsten toe weights have been added to the head to offer perimeter weighted forgiveness. Ping has given its i20 irons a low-glare satin chrome finish as well as a traditional ferrule to create a classic look. There are two stock shafts available in the new <strong>Ping i20</strong> design - a Ping CFS steel shaft and a graphite TFC 169i option. The Ping i20 irons are expected to be available from mid March with a recommended retail price of £90 (s) and £110 (g) per club.</p><p><a href="https://www.golfmonthly.com/gear/gear-galleries/iron-galleries/new-ping-i20-golf-range-39039" data-original-url="https://www.golfmonthly.com/galleries/34167/1/0/ping-i20-exclusive-new-pictures.html">Ping i20 pictures gallery</a></p>

According to Ping Chairman & CEO John Solheim, "The non-glare finish absorbs light, allowing the player to focus without distraction. Our tour pros are very enthusiastic about the finish."</p><p>The Ping i20 irons have a multi-material construction and are a progressive set. The long irons are designed to be larger and more forgiving than the previous i15 design but the shorter irons are more compact and feature less offset.</p><p>The new <strong>Ping i20 range</strong> is expected to hit the shelves in mid March 2012.
