Officially called Sea Salt with White, this colourway is highlighted with light purple accents. The laces and the lining are a vibrant purple, as is the outside edge of the oversized, synonymous ‘N’ logo on the outer side. Yes, it looks exactly like a lifestyle sneaker, and I love that. The detailing on the front is fantastic, featuring a mix of materials, including a premium suede-like fabric by the eyelets and heel.

On the foot, it has a very neat, compact look, and it feels incredibly secure. The back of the heel comes up quite high, which initially made me worry about blisters, but the material was soft enough to provide support without any rubbing. The plush softness of the tongue is another major plus.

Performance-wise, the waterproof microfibre leather upper offers excellent all-weather protection, and I found the Molded Cush+ insole coupled with the EVA midsole delivered ultra-soft, lightweight all-day comfort. One crucial tip, you definitely need to go up half a size, as they run small.

It’s an interesting looking rubber sole, with New Balance written in white across the middle of it, and to be honest, I was impressed at what a reliable job it does. I felt completely grounded over my shots when playing from a variety of lies. The Skechers Slip-ins Blade Tour is aimed at golfers who want tour-level grip and stability without sacrificing comfort or convenience during long days on the course. With so many spikeless options dominating the market, I was interested to see whether this spiked design had what it takes to compete with the best women's golf shoes of 2026.

I tested the white and silver version, and while it's a smart-looking shoe, it isn't one that screams for attention. The design is fairly plain, with subtle silver/grey detailing adding a bit of interest to an otherwise understated look. If only there was someone around to tie the laces for me!

Comfort is one of the areas where Skechers traditionally performs well, and the Blade Tour continues that trend. I'm normally a size 6, and I found these came up quite roomy around my toes. Thankfully, half sizes are available, which should help women who prefer a more precise fit. Despite the extra room, my feet never felt like they were moving around inside the shoe too much, so I was still able to get a good sense of the overall comfort levels.

One area that really impressed me was the traction. Straight out of the box, no blisters and no break-in needed. I wore them for a full round and they performed perfectly from the first hole. The OrthoLite footbed inside felt cushioned and supportive, and FootJoy's SofFOAM midsole really is as soft as advertised. They also stayed surprisingly clean compared to lighter shoes I've worn, which is a bonus when you're paying this kind of money for footwear.

A small detail I genuinely loved: the cord-style laces. Easily one of my new favourite golf shoes, comfortable from the first wear, brilliantly cushioned, light underfoot, with proper grip and a colourway that surprised me in the best way. The cord laces are a small but genuinely lovely detail.

The first thing I noticed was how comfortable they felt straight out of the box. There was no need for a breaking in period and I was happy to wear them for a full round from day one. While they do boast New Balance’s well loved Fresh Foam technology I didn’t feel they were as soft as their trainer counterparts, and that’s because they’ve clearly opted to create a shoe for swinging hard and walking the ups and downs of the fairways.

The best women's spikeless golf shoes have improved dramatically over the years, but some can still feel a little lacking when it comes to grip and stability. If I’d put this shoe on blindfolded, I would have absolutely thought it was a soft spike shoe. The heel and ankle area offer particularly good support, like the FootJoy Pro/SL, helping the foot feel locked in without being over restrictive.

The lightweight construction is another plus point, it felt good to walk in and at no point felt bulky or cumbersome. Combined with the waterproof upper, it becomes a very practical option for golfers who play regularly throughout the year. The only real drawback I found l, which is likely more of a me problem rather than a New Balance problem, was the level of arch support. It’s not a deal breaker, and some players may choose to swap in their own insoles, but it’s worth bearing in mind before you buy.

My first test of any new pair of golf shoes is straightforward: can I wear them straight out of the box without ending up with blisters?

The FootJoy Pulse passed that test without hesitation as one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women. From the very first round, my feet felt snug, well-supported and genuinely comfortable, with no sore spots or rubbing - exactly what you want from a shoe you're going to walk eighteen holes in. Sizing-wise, the US 8 / UK 6 fit true on me, and the medium width felt accommodating without being loose.

The cushioning is a real strong point. You can find the same comfort in FootJoy's Quantum golf shoe. The brand's SofFOAM midsole gives that plush underfoot feel that takes the edge off long walks, and the moulded 3D collar locks the heel in place without ever feeling intrusive.

I tend to gravitate towards navy on the course because all-black can look a bit harsh against most outfits, and the white-and-navy colourway with that little pop of orange hit exactly the right note for me. It's a clean, classic look that pairs easily with anything in my wardrobe, similar to the FootJoy Fuel.

Stability through the swing was solid. I do like to give the ball a bit of a whack, and the multi-dimensional traction pattern held up well. I felt solid and never had any sense of slipping. That said, I'd personally prefer a touch more bite than the spikeless outsole offers. The grip is good rather than great, and if you're someone who really wants that proper spike-style hold, you might want to look elsewhere.

The other slight catch was that the white upper picked up dirt more readily than I'd hoped. With this kind of synthetic fabric I'd usually expect it to stay cleaner unless conditions are really wet or grassy, but mine got a little mucky quicker than I'd have liked. Worth being aware of if you play a lot in damp conditions or wet mornings.

A genuinely comfortable, good-looking shoe that's perfect for fair-weather golfers wanting an all-rounder, similar to The cushioning is excellent, the styling is clean, and it's a shoe I happily wore for a full round straight out of the box. Just be aware the white fabric does mark up in damp or muddy conditions, and the spikeless grip is moderate rather than aggressive. It is 100% waterproof, but best suited to summer rounds, dry courses and dewy early mornings, less ideal as a deep-winter option.

As a sufferer of Plantar Fasciitis I often struggle to find golf shoes that give me enough arch support. The Skechers Pure Si golf shoes were an absolute delight to wear. As far as straight out of box comfort goes you simply can’t beat them.

As soon as I slipped my feet inside I instantly knew that these shoes would cause me no pain. They have a generous fit, ideal for my wide feet, and padding just about everywhere that comes into contact with the foot. There is particularly good heel support also (Skechers call it a heel pillow) so no discomfort there.

One of the most impressive features of these shoes is the Arch Fit inner soles. They really do support golfers with problem feet like me. A high arch needs extra support and these shoes give exactly that.

They are also fully waterproof so you don’t have to worry about getting caught out in a heavy downpour, which means you’ll get great value and wear from these shoes all-year round if you wish.

In terms of styling, the Pure Si aren’t the most exciting golf shoes I have ever seen. In fact, I’d describe them as relatively plain in looks, perhaps a little boring compared to other shoes such as the New Balance 327 or Duca del Cosma Olivera 2 golf shoe. It seems to be a theme across all nine golf shoe styles from Skechers this season. But on the plus-side the neutral look does compliment just about any outfit.

On the course I was really impressed with the grip I got from the high traction spikeless sole. The raised rectangular patterned spikes really do help the shoe cling to the turf as you swing. The Pure Si definitely gave me confidence to swing athletically without any discomfort.

Skechers point to the addition of an S-Wing for stability. This actually looks a bit plasticky to me, but it’s good to know the side panel was added like the wings of a plane for a purpose, rather than just for cosmetics!

Skechers has always been a golf shoe brand synonymous with comfort, and the addition of a few fancy performance features in the Pure Si really do make them an unbeatable choice as one of the best women's spikeless golf shoes.

Having worn running shoes a lot in my lifetime this golf shoe feels like it sits on more of the athletics side of the fence than the golf course. This is a great point in my eyes. You not only get the feeling of a running shoe when it comes to comfort and stability with the Halo Hybrid, you also get the traction required in the best women's spikeless golf shoes.

Offering so much grip from the sole thanks to the UA Rotational Resistance outsole. This is adorned with a grippy design which provides directional traction where you need it.

The suede “hook” at the back of the heel works brilliantly to pull the shoes on, but I will say it is perhaps worth going up half a size to find your perfect fit and make the getting into them easier.

Looks wise these are eye catching to say the least, carrying as much of a wow factor as shoes such as Duca Del Cosma's Olivera 2. The Beta Tint/Posh Pink is a light coral pink and really oozes surf holiday in Hawaii. Peeking inside the inner sole is embellished with a beautiful hibiscus flower, these are the true holiday shoe.

The sole is seriously chunky almost like a shoe you’d wear to do street dancing. Paired with skinny pedal pushers or a playful short, these shoes carry some serious street cred. I felt really cool in these and could happily live in them to be honest. They have also been worn with my favourite skinny jeans on family days out proving their versatility as a pair of shoes on and off the course.

The odd summer downpour won’t stop you in your tracks wearing these beauties. These are waterproof and will keep your feet dry as you spring down the fairways.

The synthetic materials on these shoes are extremely lightweight and water will bead off them whilst they will let your feet breathe, so reducing the chances of a less than desirable scent wafting from the inner soles.

Available in a vast range of sizes from 2.5-8.5 these will offer surf style to many a female golfer. Once you’ve found your perfect size you’ll be hard pushed to take these off your feet.

As the second iteration of this Puma women’s golf shoe I think the Avant 2 has much improved styling. From a looks perspective, it’s a leap forward compared to the previous version with a more modern aesthetic.

I absolutely love the classically shaped sole, it’s like a throwback to the brogues I wore in the nineties, except that these are much, much lighter!

It’s an elegant, timeless look. In fact, it makes a refreshing change to see one of the best women's spikeless golf shoes as something a little more sophisticated than the trainer style of golf shoe that dominates our shop shelves.

The pretty pink stitching detail that frames the edge of the sole adds the perfect subtle dash of colour to what is otherwise a classical white shoe. The peach pink colour is also accented again in the addition of a little striped fabric loop on the heel.

This clever tab gives you something to hold onto when you slip the shoe on, without the need to use a shoe horn, preventing the heel of the shoe from losing shape and getting damaged.

Despite the fact that the Avant 2 is a summer shoe I’m happy that it still offers full waterproof protection courtesy of the full-grain leather upper. This means that if you’re hunting for a golf ball in the rough in the early morning dew, or you get caught in a heavy summer shower, your toes won’t know about it as your feet will stay dry.

The stand-out feature for me is the comfort. For a structured golf shoe, the Avant 2 offers exceptional soft feedback for the feet. Puma’s patented PROFOAM advanced lightweight material midsole really cushions the inside of the shoes, which feels heavenly when you first slip them on. It’s both spongy and supportive. The fit is snug, especially around the toe, which some women may find a touch narrow, especially if you suffer with bunions.

Out on the golf course the swing support is excellent, right from the first wear. The lightweight build was noticeable in making walking more pleasant, while the rubber carbon outsole gave me confidence that my foot would be supported throughout the whole swing. My biggest compliment is that I didn't notice the shoe while I was playing, it was so lovely and lightweight that I literally had a spring in my step.

From a price point perspective, these sit at the upper end of what I’d normally be prepared to spend on a summer pair of the best women's golf shoes, however given that they come with a one-year full waterproof guarantee I think that the premium price is worth spending and I anticipate keeping these on well into the autumn, muddy course conditions permitting.

Out of the entire collection, I was keen to test these shorts as they are an example of having a sophisticated and polished look, as well as a playful energy.

As soon as I put these shorts on, what I loved most was how they cleverly combine the look of the best golf skorts with a very flattering A-line silhouette. They have a 5-inch inseam, and while I personally like the length, some women might find them a little short depending on their preference.

I do believe they will suit most body shapes, as they flare gently from the waist to offer a feminine shape without the restriction of traditional skirt and undershorts. Being a big fan of blue, I really like the classic navy colourway and the white piping around the pockets and waistband adds a simple yet very chic touch that feels timeless.

They are made with a lightweight, moisture-wicking stretch fabric (including 45% recycled polyester) that kept me feeling fresh. I was impressed with the comfort and performance, which is boosted by an elasticated back waistband, while the front pleats ensure the shorts maintain their shape throughout the day. The side pockets and back scorecard pocket are both practical, and just above the back pocket, it’s subtly finished with an embroidered Penguin logo.

These shoes really live up to their 'Street' name. I love the beige suede mudguard, the technical term for the protective detailing around the toe, which also wraps around the heel counter. This area is highlighted at the top with a pop of pinkish-purple that perfectly matches the color of the sole. Even though the profile is low, the grip is impressive. I felt completely secure over the ball and grounded throughout my swing, yet the shoe still provided all the walking comfort you’d expect from a high-end sneaker.

While I haven't had the chance to test these in wet conditions yet, and I personally see these as the perfect summer shoe for those fast, it does feature an ECCO-TEX waterproof membrane to keep your feet dry if the weather does take a turn.

Most golfers have a favorite brand of golf shoe, it’s like having a comfy pair of slippers! I don’t have problem feet, so I generally find comfort in most golf shoes, like the FootJoy Pro/SL and G/Fore’s G.112 Stripe Kiltie, but the Street Vibe tops it for me.

The Abby jacket is a standout because it marries Galvin Green’s Galvin Green has long been renowned for high-quality performance rain gear, but for me, the Abby jacket represents a real shift in their aesthetic. While previous seasons sometimes felt a bit hard to differentiate, for example the Ally or Amy waterproof jacket, this new model feels far more modern and fresher.

What struck me most is the simple, contemporary styling. The bold white stripe down each sleeve really ups the attraction for me, as it looks sporty and bright without being over-the-top. I also love the practical design touches, like the hidden side-zipped pockets and the ability to adjust the cuffs with Velcro tabs for a perfect fit.

The jacket is a nice length, ensuring you feel fully protected, the sleeves are shaped for added ease of movement, and you can use the inside toggles to tighten the hem. It comes in three colourways - navy, crystal blue, or fuchsia (all with white detailing) and features minimal branding, which is always my preference.

Galvin Green is using Pertex Shield 3-layer stretch fabric. In simple terms, this means the jacket isn't just a barrier against rain, it’s designed to breathe. It uses a water-loving membrane that pulls moisture away from your body while keeping the elements out. It’s lightweight, but the brand’s Andrea waterproof jacket receives the award for being one of the lightest on the market.

The fabric is part of the DRYVR collection, which is completely PFAS-free, making it a much better choice for the environment. One clever feature is the slide and glide backer - the inside of the jacket is really smooth, so it doesn't bunch up or catch on your sweater when your mid-swing.

I waited for a rainy day (you don't have long to wait when you live in the UK!) and I'm pleased to say it performed exactly as I expected. I stayed dry, comfortable, and completely unrestricted.

The fabric has a lot of stretch and Galvin Green says it’s their stretchiest waterproof to date. This is vital for freedom of movement because let’s face, nobody really likes playing in a waterproof jacket. It is slightly noisy when you move, but certainly not enough to be off-putting.

One thing I would have loved to see is a hood, similar to what you find on Ping’s Milli waterproof jacket or adidas’s Ultimate365 Tour CLIMAPROOF+ anorak jacket. I know a lot of women think hoods are pointless, which is fair if they don’t fit right and end up blocking your view, but I personally like having the option for those walks between shots when it’s raining.

Overall, it’s light, it moves with your swing, and it just looks right, making it a worthwhile investment for anyone looking to add the best women’s rain gear to their wardrobe.

One thing to note is that the tongue comes up quite high, which might be a factor if you have a high instep. It was absolutely fine for me, but it’s worth considering as it could feel different depending on your foot shape.

I’m also still a big fan of the massaging insole, similar to the one in G/Fore’s MG4+ O2 G/Lock shoe. It’s removable and machine washable, which is a fantastic bonus that helps keep you comfortable and your feet feeling fresh through all 18 holes.

The tech story for 2026 is the updated anti-slip grip outsole, which comes in a vibrant pink and green to match the side stripes. Combined with the low-drop design, it’s clearly built to get you closer to the ground. I can definitely vouch for the grip, as even on some tricky lies, I felt completely stable through every shot.

The G.112 is constructed with a synthetic upper and water-repellent P.U. leather, so it will hold up well against the elements. However, I did have one slight concern, as the fabric around the collar picked up quite a bit of dust after just one round, so this area will probably not be the easiest part of the shoe to keep sparkling clean.

One of the best things about this shoe is the versatility. I chose to wear it without a kiltie, but there's the option to add one to the shoe depending on what look takes your fancy. Whether you want that classic, traditional golf aesthetic or a more modern, streamlined look, the shoe adapts easily. Combined with one of G/Fore’s outfits, it’s a look that works just as well in the clubhouse as it does on the course, and it will definitely be one of my go-to shoes this summer.

I’ve been following CSARA since they launched in 2025, and it’s a story that’s not uncommon among female-led golf brands. Founder Claire Griffiths started the label out of pure frustration; after taking up the game three years ago, she simply couldn't find anything to wear that felt like her.

The result is a chic, concentrated collection that looks like something you’d find on the high street, but with all the technical performance you actually need on the course. It’s a tight, well-thought-out range covering all the essentials, including tops, trousers, shorts, base layers, and dresses, that all mix and match to form some of the best women's golf clothes.

For me, the Rava zip-through jacket is the standout. It’s made from a premium four-way stretch fabric with a sophisticated, silky exterior and an incredibly soft brushed interior. While the sweat-wicking definitely kept me dry, I was most impressed by the silhouette.

The curved contrast piping on the front and back creates a clever slimming effect, and the cut sits neatly at the top of the hip for a modern, sharp look. Because of that shorter cut, I worried it might ride up during my swing, but I was pleased to find it stayed in place and provided an effortless range of motion.

It’s fair to say this is a very fitted jacket, so I’d advise going up a size. I’m usually small, but I wore a medium comfortably with a base layer underneath. The only real downside is the lack of pockets, but that’s a small sacrifice for the overall look and performance. The jacket is finished nicely with an embossed logo on the chest and ‘CSARA’ written down the right sleeve.

It comes in mocha, black, or white, and looks great paired with their Jayne Crossover trousers for a fully coordinated look. If you’re after a versatile jacket that fits a modern wardrobe, one you can happily wear to the gym or out for lunch after a round, this is definitely one to consider.

It’s hard to believe the FootJoy Pro/SL is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, but it’s marking the milestone by entering a new chapter. While it has been a long-standing fixture in the spikeless market, FootJoy has essentially reimagined the shoe from the ground up for this latest generation.

I was therefore keen to test these out to see if they have what it takes to make the list of the best women’s spikeless golf shoes in 2026.

Over the years, I’ve tested plenty of FootJoy shoes and have generally found them to be extremely reliable in terms of comfort and performance. However, in my opinion, the designs have often felt safe, leaning more toward a traditional look than a sporty, modern one.

That’s why I was immediately struck by the new Pro/SL, as it has a much sportier aesthetic compared with some previous FootJoy models. That said, it’s still what I would call a performance-driven spikeless golf shoe that belongs on the fairways rather than a hybrid like the Ecco 720 Street shoe or the fashion-forward Duca del Cosma Olivera shoe that you'd wear anywhere.

I’ve been testing the Pro/SL in the white and blue colorway, which looks clean and fresh, but there are also white/grey and navy/white/black options. The real talking point with this update is the weight because it’s actually 29% lighter than the previous version.

I was seriously impressed with FootJoy’s Quantum golf shoe when I reviewed it last year, and while the leather of the Pro/SL feels firmer to the touch than the Quantum, I’d say it is now almost on par with that model in terms of its lightweight feel.

Despite the slight stiffness of the leather, it doesn't sacrifice the wrap-around comfort I’ve come to expect from FootJoy, thanks to a 3D molded padded collar and a very breathable mesh lining that keeps your feet feeling secure.

Technologically, the standout for me is the new Z-TEC upper. It’s built with multiple layers that manage to feel supportive in the right places. It feels like the shoe is working with you to power through the swing, rather than just sitting on your foot. This is paired with the ARCTrax/SL outsole, which uses a mix of traction fins and cones to keep you glued to the ground. I felt solid and balanced from the moment I addressed the ball to the end of my follow-through.

I tested this shoe playing from damp fairways (and rough), but even without spikes, the grip felt really reliable, regardless of the lie. I felt firmly planted throughout my swing, and the StratoFOAM in the heel does a great cushioning job.

I’m also a big fan of the slightly wider toe box, as it allows your toes to spread naturally. When you combine that extra room with the OrthoLite FitBed, the comfort is very good. It uses a slow-recovery foam that remembers the shape of your foot over time, giving you a custom-fit feel while helping to stop your foot from sliding around inside the shoe.

Overall, this 10th-anniversary Pro/SL successfully combines a fresh, sporty update with the high-level performance you'd expect from the brand.

If you’re looking for a lightweight, waterproof golf shoe that doesn't compromise on stability, this is an excellent choice for the new season.

G/FORE is renowned for its fashion-forward, vibrant colored golf apparel, but when it comes to a waterproof jacket, it obviously needs to perform as good as it looks. I was therefore keen to find out how this hooded jacket compares with the best women’s golf rain gear.

It’s lightweight, but the first thing I noticed is that the fabric is quite crunchy, golfers will know exactly what I mean by this! It only comes in Twilight, which is all-over navy and highlighted by bright pink taped seams back and front, and at the bottom of each sleeve.

The color and curved shaping of these seams are what makes this jacket so striking. It’s very, as when your arms are down by your side, even though the front and sleeve seams are separate, it creates the look of one continuous seam. I also like the way the slanted zipped side pockets in the same pink blend into the seams.

I tested this jacket in a size small and it’s very roomy, plenty big enough to wear a few layers underneath. The seams give it a shapely impression, but it’s not as fitted as say, Sunderland’s Whisperdry Aurora jacket, or KJUS Women’s Pro 3L 3.0 jacket. It’s also not as long in the body, which I like from a styling standpoint. This jacket is more boxy looking, and some women might prefer a longer length for more coverage across their backside.

We’ve seen how the hoodie has become popular, and now it’s great to see the number of brands producing waterproof jackets with hoods. This one provides complete coverage, but like Galvin Green’s Andrea jacket, it would be great if it had toggles to adjust the fit, as when I tried to hit shots with the hood up, while it kept my head dry, it did move and interfere with my vision. I made sure I used the Velcro tabs on the sleeves to secure the fit around my wrists.

As for overall performance, given my first impression of the fabric, it is slightly more noisy than other waterproof jackets that I’ve tested, but not to the extent that it was off-putting in any way. I would have liked to have tightened the hem, if anything, to stop it rising up a little.

That said, it did its job and kept the rain out, albeit light showers rather than a heavy downpour, but there’s no reason to believe that this jacket wouldn’t perform in the most severe weather conditions. Out of all the waterproof jackets I’ve tested, this is definitely one of the most stylish, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from G/FORE!

This anorak jacket has impressed me beyond belief. I’ve worn it on and off the golf course and it’s so light you can carry it in the smallest of pockets.

Unlike the more structured hooded jackets, like the FootJoy Hydroknit, it lacks the rigidity of a traditional waterproof. But that isn’t a negative, this is designed for practicality and to be a lifesaver when the weather turns on you.

Made with advanced waterproof technology and fully taped seams, I felt I was pulling on a jacket to wear for sailing. Not because it felt like sealskins, but because it gave me confidence it was built for this very purpose. Granted, it looks like an anorak, but once out of a small pocket (it fits into my bag’s ball pocket), this jacket means business as the best women's golf rain gear.

The material is predominantly recycled, and the material feels silky and whisper soft, unlike so many plastic feeling anoraks. The feathery patterned design is a breath of fresh air. Finally brands are starting to add some pattern to waterproof jackets, like Sunderland’s Whisperdry Aurora jacket.

Adidas has pulled out a trendy design that looks great on the golf course or for any other outdoor activity. It’s a shame it only comes in one colour, though the purple silver shades are stunning.

It comes with a customisable hem thanks to a bungee, so you can tighten and tuck under for extra protection or leave looser. The full pocket at the front is brilliant, it’s enormous, like a kangaroo pouch and is perfect for storing gloves or a hat.

The fit is regular, rather than fitted and allows room for a warm layer or two underneath, but genuinely, this keeps the wind out so well, it’s been perfect in autumn storms.

I first tested it out during storm Amy while on a football pitch. Considering it’s a pull-on jacket, which some may find hard work when battling the elements on the course, I thought it went on easily, helped by the taped neck zip. It immediately blocked out gale force winds and the rain just beaded off. It’s also machine washable which is a bonus especially after a muddy training session.

I feel like I stopped testing this jacket early on and began to simply rely on it for so many activities. It’s at the higher end price wise for what feels on first impression like a pack-away anorak, but this jacket is so much more than that and I’d say well worth the price tag. Now I just need adidas to make one for the dog, as he’s jealous!

What’s the number one thing you want a decent waterproof jacket to do? Keep you dry of course! From that perspective the UA Women’s Rain Drive jacket totally has this category nailed - it’s 100% waterproof and has a mesh lining that makes it breathable.

The clever designers at Under Armour have used a fluorine-free water repellent treatment, which effectively means that rain water is repelled off the surface of the material, it reacts just like rain water hitting a concrete road, and runs away.

What I love about this jacket is that the highly waterproof nature of the material doesn’t come at the compromise of comfort or swing freedom. It’s neither heavy or too thick, and you certainly don’t feel like you’re wearing a straight jacket when you make your swing.

The velcro cuffs allow you to adjust the fit to suit your preferred choice of tightness. I never like to feel that the jacket arms get in the way, especially when I putt, so this to me is invaluable. There are also inner toggles that allow you to choose whether the body fit feels tight or slightly looser, accommodating all shapes and body sizes.

All of the zips are seam-sealed to ensure absolute weather tightness and they operate smoothly. The collar height is a little lower than others I have tested in the past, like ProQuip's Darcey and adidas's Rain.RDY, but nevertheless still tall enough to avoid rain slipping down your neck.

It’s hard to really fault this jacket and that’s reflected in my high star rating as the best women's golf rain gear. However, if I had the choice of colour I would sooner pick something that’s a little brighter or has a subtle hint of a pattern, a shimmer or something to make me feel more feminine wearing it. The navy blue is really quite boring and the sort of jacket that looks unisex enough that I could put my son in it.

Is this the perfect waterproof jacket? I’d say nearly. It’s lighter than some other jackets on the market, yet the confidence of the 3-year guarantee is testament to how well this design performs in challenging conditions.

As with other jackets, like Sunderland’s Aurora Whisper and Ping's Milli, Footjoy have added a hood to what was a phenomenal Hydroknit design and I think it’s really enhanced the performance of this item to compete with the best women's golf rain gear.

Some might think a hood would get in the way of visibility during a round of golf but this hood is very cleverly designed. It’s got a fairly wide opening that stays on your head when it’s up, yet you can see out of it peripherally. The toggles either side allow for a customised fit and this is a helpful addition.

The zips are taped, to keep the elements at bay, and I felt completely warm and dry. As with all FootJoy waterproofs there is a pocket inside the jacket on the chest for a scorecard or mobile phone.

First and foremost, this jacket is designed to keep you protected. It is unbeatable when it comes to heavy downpours. Water simply beads away and it dries out fast, so never fills heavy with the weight of water.

Again, you can customise your protection with the adjustable bungee on the bottom. This gives you the ability to alter the fit from tailored jacket to bomber jacket. Pull the lower cord and you can tuck the bottom underneath. It’s therefore a jacket that will suit many body types.

The offering of colours had me scratching my head a little. FootJoy usually offers a few pops of colour in their waterproof jacket armoury. The white, navy and black options feel a bit safe.

I’ve always been a little confused when it comes to having a white waterproof jacket, but the only downside was when I pulled out and put back in my tee peg/ball marker, as it does tend to make the jacket dirty around the pockets. Now this is negligible, as the way this top performs will far outweigh the lack of rainbow colours.

FootJoy jackets do wash really well on a cold wash and it does come up as new each time without forgiving any of the waterproof quality.

First impression, this is an extremely light waterproof jacket, and for that reason the material doesn’t feel substantially structured to offer ultimate protection as the best women's golf rain gear. It feels a bit more like a pack-away anorak. But...

The waterproof quality of this jacket impressed me beyond belief. I got caught in a lot of rain and it did the job, but it does come with a lifetime waterproof guarantee.

Made with whisper quiet material you can’t hear it when you’re moving around, which I really like as there’s nothing worse than a crackly jacket. It also boasts brilliant breathability and is increased further by being well vented at the back.

This won’t keep you cosy though, so pick your size to allow a few extra base layers underneath. It’s super stretchy so it makes it easy to house a few warm layers without restricting your swing. It’s great that you can adjust at the hem and waist to get the right fit.

The design is beautiful, I love the turquoise colour of the mint mist print. There are six colors to choose from, so I think every woman will find a jacket to suit their colour palette. None are standard blue, navy or white, which so often swamp this market. This is a real standout jacket from Sunderland and one that you will receive many compliments wearing.

It looks good with the hood up or tucked away in its secret collar! Trying to get the collar back in was a bit fiddly, but I’m not sure there’s a way around tucking away a “secret” hood without a bit of effort.

The hood itself isn’t substantial, but it will cover your head in a sharp shower. It doesn’t quite come up to the standards and performance of other jackets with hoods like Galvin Green's Andrea, Adidas Ultimate365 Anorak or FootJoy’s Hydroknit, but those hoods can’t be hidden away.

The zips are waterproof and have two tone colours including a reflective side. The retro-reflective Sunderland S branding is really funky and the attention to detail is unparalleled.

This is a brilliant option for a waterproof jacket, which matches Sunderland's Montana waterproof trousers in either navy or black. Great job Sunderland, finally jackets that make you look great and match so many different personalities.

Galvin Green is well-known for its range of premium waterproof and windproof gear, and new for 2025, the Andrea jacket is part of the DRYVR (pronounced ‘driver’) range, the brand’s collection of 100% waterproof rainwear.

Gore-Tex often features in Galvin Green waterproofs, but Andrea is made in a Pertex Shield fabric, a recycled polyester with a PFC-free water repellent treatment. The first thing I noticed was the weight, it’s incredibly light, and made me wonder how it can possibly protect against the elements to form part of the best women's golf rain gear.

I tested this in navy, it’s also available in plain black, so there's nothing really to dislike about the colors for wet weather golf, unless you are particularly fond of splashes of color. Unlike Galvin Green’s popular Amy jacket, which has color contrasting panels and an obvious ‘golf’ look, Andrea is more versatile to wear for everyday outdoor activities, and I like the bright silver double zip, as it does lift the colour and adds a touch of class.

The length is good, it covers most of my backside and I used the toggles at the hem to tighten slightly for an even better fit. I’m pleased that Galvin Green has introduced a hooded jacket, like Ping’s Milli and Adidas' Rain.Rdy.

I’m pleased to report that the hood fitted snug around my head and provided excellent protection. Hidden away inside the hood at the top are toggles to adjust the fit and this allowed me to swing the club without it moving and catching sight of it out of my left eye on my backswing, which I know is what some women find really annoying about hoods.

None of us like having to play in waterproofs, but the lightweight seam-sealed stretch fabric adds to the overall comfort. It didn’t feel bulky at all over a long-sleeve shirt and sweater, and there’s plenty of room for easy movement in the arms.

When the rain came, I adjusted the cuffs using the Velcro tabs, I like the way you can zip up to a high neck for added protection and the two zipped side pockets are concealed - neither me nor my accessories were going to get wet. All-in-all, Andrea did a highly commendable job!

Stepping into a new generation, the G/Fore MG4+ O2 golf shoe is a fresh take on the brand's popular MG4+ design. I’m already a fan of G/Fore's MG4+ O2 G/Lock spiked model that launched earlier this year, so I was keen to test this latest model to find out if it provides the same level of performance and competes as one of the best women’s spikeless golf shoes.

There’s no doubt G/Fore sets the bar for style, and this shoe is no exception. The MG4+ O2 has a sleek, athletic silhouette that's both modern and functional. I tested the stone colorway, which is accented with tasteful pops of navy and a vibrant green. It's a combination that adds just enough flair without being over the top. The inclusion of two pairs of laces -navy/beige and a solid beige - allows for a quick style change. I must admit, I’ve never bothered changing laces, but it’s an appreciated detail.

The comfort of this spikeless shoe is exceptional from the moment you put it on and compares to FootJoy's Quantum, Payntr X 007 and Ecco's Biom H5 Textile golf shoe as the most comfortable golf shoes for women.

The fully padded mesh interior feels soft against the foot and the midsole provides a feeling of springy energy. It’s no secret that my favourite feature of G/Fore shoes are the removable inserts that offer a gentle, stimulating feel, like a mini massage, so this helps to reduce foot fatigue over 18 holes. was particularly impressed with the removable cushion inserts. They provide a unique sensation underfoot, offering a gentle, stimulating feel that helps reduce foot fatigue over 18 holes.

In terms of design and aesthetics, other than the sole, there’s not a lot of difference between the spiked and spikeless MG4+ O2 model. I noticed this shoe has a heel counter with a matte look finish and an extended heel tab, whereas the spikeless shoe’s heel counter is shiny and without a tab, so minimal difference unless I’ve missed something!

As previously mentioned, I’ve worn the MG4+ O2 G/Lock spiked shoe a lot and one thing worth mentioning is that the soft heel collar, which in this case is a light pink, has become quite grubby and not the easiest to clean. In contrast, the rest of the shoe, which is predominantly white has come up spotless! The good thing is that the collar in this colorway is navy, so won't show the dirt.

Now, let's talk about the sole, which has a sawtooth traction pattern with a series of breaks for increased flexibility. Stability is excellent, although I did test this shoe on ground that was fairly firm and dry, so I will be interested to see how it performs in wetter conditions. It's a different feel from the lock-down of a spiked shoe, but the grip is very reliable. I felt firmly planted throughout my swing, there was no slipping.

Overall, the G/Fore MG4+ O2 successfully combines standout style with high-level performance. It’s a well-engineered shoe for a woman who wants the freedom of a spikeless option without sacrificing stability or comfort. If you’re looking to refresh your footwear with a stylish and high-performing model, this shoe is an excellent choice.

The original knit golf shoe from True Linkswear was launched in 2018 and the latest edition, Knit Four, has been enhanced further using the best elements of previous models to create a shoe for all day performance on and off the golf course.

It’s a new brand for me to test, but I know True Linkswear is continuing to grow in popularity, so I was looking forward to finding out how it fared against some of the other best women’s golf shoes.

For a start, I really like the strapline printed on the insole and outsole - TRUE - ENJOY THE WALK. It’s a great reminder for golfers and is the reason why the Knit was born, as the founders wanted to create a versatile shoe that provides comfort and flexibility for all-day wear.

I’ve raved about the weight of FootJoy’s Fuel, Ecco’s Biom H5 Textile and Under Armour’s Phantom Fore golf shoe, but if you’re looking for one of the lightest women’s golf shoes this one really excels, which is largely due to the stretch knit upper.

I tested this shoe in a navy/cream colorway, but it’s also available in grey or white. It looks stylish with a touch of suede-like fabric at the heel, which holds your foot in nicely thanks to the foam heel lock, and the same fabric is also around the toe area and either side of the lacing system. I would say that it's more of a wide than narrow fit.

I must admit, given this shoe looks and feels like a slipper, I was concerned that it wouldn’t provide enough support to feel in control from the ground up, but in fairness, the outsole delivers more than satisfactory grip and traction for a comfortable round. It doesn’t offer the same support as, for example, the Adizero ZG golf shoe from Adidas or G/Fore’s MG4+ O2 G/Lock shoe, but this is a very different offering.

This is definitely a summer shoe, ideal to pack for holiday golf, and the best thing, if they do get dirty, you can throw them in the washing machine! I was very impressed because they are one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women that will take you anywhere.

Payntr, having entered the women's golf footwear market in late 2022, is a relatively new brand, but I've heard nothing but good things, so I was really keen to try out their new-for-this-year X-007 FF model.

Michael Glancy, their Co-Founder and Creative Director, mentioned that these shoes aren't just a shrunken-down men's version. Instead, they're "built from the ground up with biomechanics, energy return, and foot morphology specific to women in mind." So, did they live up to the hype and perform like one of the best women's golf shoes out there?

This shoe has a sleek, sporty look without being overly flashy, although in my opinion, it’s more golf than street style. There’s a neat perforated pattern on each side of the shoe and at the top of the tongue, plus attractive striped stitching detail in navy/aqua/silver under the eyelets of the Fast Fit lace closure system. While I’m a big fan of a Boa lacing system, such as the Ecco Biom C4, I did initially find the dial on this shoe to be a little stiff, but after a couple of wears, it became easier to release/tighten the laces, and I love the way you can quickly adjust the system for a perfect fit.

From the moment I slipped them on, the comfort was obvious. This isn't just a fleeting initial impression, as the underfoot support was consistently good throughout each round. The PMX midsole lives up to its promise of being softer for energy return and responsiveness, as my feet felt as good as new at the end of 18 holes.

The Ortholite Footbed provides extra cushioning, although it’s not as obvious as the footbed in FootJoy’s Quantum or G/FORE's MG4+ O2 G/Lock women's shoe, but like Payntr’s 007 model, which my colleague tested recently, this shoe is one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women. I believe I’m a regular size 6, so it’s worth mentioning that while I found these shoes extremely comfortable, I would say they are slightly wider than some other shoes on the market, so ideal for women with wider feet.

This is definitely a performance spikeless shoe as the TPU outsole, which has a pearlized finish with three-dimensional lugs, combined with a TPU propulsion plate, gave me a real sense of stable traction and efficient energy transfer when playing shots from a variety of lies. It’s lightweight, yet robust, and although I didn’t wear these shoes in the rain, the Clarino microfibre upper has NeverWet superhydrophobic solution to help keep feet dry.

For any woman golfer seeking a high-performance, comfortable, and stylish spikeless option at a competitive price, I would highly recommend giving the Payntr X 007 FF a serious look.

When I first took the FJ Tour Rival out of the box on a Golf Monthly test day I watched the envious eyes of my playing partners and fellow testers who instantly adored the looks. This is an incredibly stylish golf shoe. Simple, yet sophisticated. It only comes in a choice of black or white but both pair with almost any outfit.

Holding the shoe I instantly noticed how the material felt quite hard to touch, so I was sceptical about its potential as one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women, such as Puma's Ignite Blaze 2 or Ecco's Biom H5, due to the very rigid plastic mudguard that wraps around the lower perimeter of the shoe.

While I applaud this as a brilliant design initiative (let’s face it winter golf is often played in awful weather) I was justified in my comfort concerns as the shoe did indeed feel rather rigid across the front of the foot and my toes a little compressed inside. I do have particularly wide feet though and suffer with bunions, so the pressure of the outer edge did cause me a little discomfort.

The underfoot cushioning and soft heel support, on the other hand, helped make up for this and allowed me to play 18 holes wearing the FJ Tour Rival straight out of the box, onto the course without breaking them in. These are lovely, lightweight shoes to walk in and the inner sole puts a spring in your step.

Where the FJ Tour Rival really shines is the superior support and grip it gives during the athletic movement of the golf swing. I felt incredibly solid at address and stable. The addition of spikes really is beneficial if you play a golf course that gets saturated and muddy underfoot, they are invaluable. If it's high performing grip that you're after, you might also want to consider the FootJoy Fuel golf shoe.

These shoes come with a one-year waterproof guarantee allowing you to play rain or shine all year round. I’ve put them to the test now on several days of solid rain and my feet have emerged bone dry, so definitely one of the best women's waterproof golf shoes.

With so many positive points, if you have wide feet like me, my advice is simply to size up. Choose a shoe that’s half a size bigger (and they come in a great choice of sizes) and you’ll have a pair of shoes you’ll love that will last.

FootJoy’s Fuel golf shoe burst onto the scene back in 2022 and it certainly raised the bar in terms of styling, lightweight comfort and robust on-course performance. Fuel is unbelievably lightweight, it was the first thing I noticed when I picked it up. I thought FootJoy’s Quantum, Ecco’s Biom H5 Textile and Under Armour’s Phantom golf shoe would take some beating in that department, but Fuel has the edge.

As for the design and aesthetics, I like its athletic look and the modern pops of color gives it a fresh stylish look that will appeal to women looking for something beyond a traditional golf shoe design. I also like the way the subtle embossed FJ logo placements on the side of the heel and on the front of the shoe have been refined for 2025.

It’s made using synthetic leather uppers, which does contribute to the shoe’s overall featherweight. I did find them a little stiff when I first put them on, they have a rounded toe and slightly narrow heel for a snug feel, but they soon loosened up after a couple of holes. While not as comfortable for me as FootJoy’s Quantum, of which I’m a big fan, the Fuel’s soft cushioning does provide notable comfort, there were no tired legs at the end of the round and the best thing, for the most part I didn’t even realise I was wearing them!

Given how lightweight these shoes are, I was surprised and impressed by their robust performance. The spikeless Power Stabilizer outsole is inspired by FootJoy’s Pro/SL series, which means the multi-dimensional lugs and a Stability Bridge that supports the midfoot, gave me reliable grip, and it’s a shoe that I would be confident wearing year-round in various conditions.

It’s also worth mentioning that the smooth synthetic upper is easy to clean, and these shoes also come with a one-year waterproof warranty. You won’t go far wrong with Fuel. I’d say it's one of the best women’s spikeless shoes and worth every penny.

The golf shoe market has exploded with functional, fashionable choices for women and the Puma Ignite Blaze 2 is bang-on trend with its trainer-like look. It’s the sort of shoe you’ll be happy wearing anywhere, not just to the golf course, due to the simple, sleek styling.

When I slipped this shoe on I was instantly aware of how fantastic the support and the foam padding felt. It really did cushion my foot exactly where needed, with ample padding in the heel, sides and tongue of the shoe around the laces.

The under foot soft inner sole also felt fantastic, putting a spring in my step. This meant that right from round one it was one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women. It was just like wearing my favorite pair of trainers to the gym, and if it wasn’t for the spikes, I would have definitely considered this.

What the patented flex spikes do, though, is add that extra level of grip, which I think is really important, because during a round of golf you can encounter all sorts of awkward stances and lies.

Where some trainer-style shoes fail and don’t give adequate grip, the Puma Blaze 2 have spikes that win top marks from me. What that means is you will feel more grounded and stable during the golf swing move and that in turn will help you add speed.

There’s a very limited choice of colours, so if you are not a fan of a pure white shoe then you’ll want to look elsewhere, however the little pop of colour around the rim of the sole does just give that little bit more interest and a feminine touch.

I have quite a wide foot and suffer with bunions but these shoes had plenty of room to accommodate my awkward toes without pressing painfully on the bone. If you have a narrow foot you can also pull on the laces tight to adjust the fit accordingly.

At £120 a pair they aren’t the cheapest shoe option from this season's best women's golf shoes, but they do come with a one-year waterproof guarantee and in terms of performance and playability you are certainly getting what you pay for. I anticipate wearing these for the whole of the summer season before switching back to my trusty black golf boots for the wet and moist day winter months.

I’ve heard so much about the Slip-ins, for which the brand has become known for and forms part of their marketing strategy, and although I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, the hands-free design feature genuinely surprised me. Being able to slide your foot straight in without bending down is a small luxury, but then you do need to bend down to tie up the laces!

Once on, they feel secure thanks to the Heel Pillow, which gently hugs your foot and keeps it in place. If you have problem feet, you’ll appreciate the removable Arch Fit insole that provides soft podiatrist-approved support by molding to your foot to reduce shock and increase weight dispersion.

I also found the cushioning impressively lightweight, similar to Ecco's Biom H5 Textile and FootJoy's Quantum golf shoe. It almost feels like you’re wearing a high-performance trainer rather than a traditional golf shoe. All in all, this shoe excels in comfort. That said, it’s worth noting that the overall fit is slightly on the narrow side, though it worked fine for me.

Style-wise, they’ve got a sporty, functional look, more performance than fashion, and that might not appeal to everyone. Made with synthetic materials, this shoe has a very smooth appearance, despite it having a very subtle pattern that you wouldn’t notice unless you're close up. If you're already a fan of Skechers and prefer a more traditional look, you might want to consider the Go Golf Jasmine 2 model.

I like the periwinkle color, it’s unusual, somewhere in between lilac and purple with a complementing purple/blue sole. I also like the fact that branding is very subtle. It’s also worth mentioning that these shoes are waterproof and made with recycled materials, which is a nice bonus if you’re trying to make more sustainable choices with your golf gear.

If I’m being picky, the design does lean a little too far into the athletic trainer aesthetic for my taste. I tend to prefer a slightly more lifestyle-inspired shoe, something that transitions more easily off the course.

As for performance, the low profile outsole features GRIPFLEX technology, which is a combination of multi-directional cleats and lugs to ensure traction and stability. I did have good contact with the ground, but at the same time there was enough flexibility to feel well balanced over my shots.

The Go Golf Elite 6 Slip-ins tick a lot of boxes. They’re easy to wear, easy to clean and one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women for those long days on the course.

Ecco’s Street 720 shoe is based on a design from the brand’s lifestyle collection, and it shows. With a fresh, urban vibe, it fits easily into both your golf wardrobe and everyday life, especially in the all-white version I tested. From the moment I put them on, they felt like proper sneakers, not just golf shoes trying to pass as casual. But how did they perform? Could this be one of the best women’s golf shoes out there?

Made from smooth, perforated leather, I like its clean, no-fuss appearance and the overall solid, well-built premium feel, which is similar to Ecco’s Biom H5, adidas’s Adizero and G/FORE’s MG4+ O2 G/Lock golf shoe.

Comfort-wise, I could wear these all day, and I did! The cushioning is soft yet supportive, and I especially like the padded fabric on the tongue and around the heel, exactly where you need it most. The removable insole is a bonus too, offering a bit of extra flexibility if you’ve got slightly wider feet. This is definitely one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women, I have tested this season, along with FootJoy’s Quantum and Under Armour's Phantom Fore.

On the course, they feel stable and grippy thanks to the E-DTS TWIST outsole, which gives you multi-directional traction without being bulky or spiked. Even on damp mornings, I’ve had no slipping. And the GORE-TEX surround tech genuinely works, my feet have stayed dry and comfortable. There are small ventilation holes on either side side of the midsole that not only add airflow for extra comfort but also bring a nice bit of design detail.

Despite being waterproof and designed for year-round use, I'd save them for summer golf. I managed to wipe off specks of dirt, but I'm not sure how well they would stand up to winter golf and how easy it would be to keep these shoes clean, especially being all-over white and having small ventilation holes.

In summary, these are stylish, breathable, waterproof, and comfortable enough for everyday wear. Whether you’re heading to the golf course or just out and about, they are likely to earn a permanent spot throughout the summer months.

Clarino microfibre upper is light as a feather and peppered with breathability yet this shoe keeps your feet dry when skipping through puddles on the way to the green! Water resistant technology works wonders and dew and rain simply beads off. NeverWet superhydrophobic solution that is applied to the shoe means these will keep soggy socks at bay. The pinched design of the heel creates a seal around your foot so the water won’t even get in from above. Everything about these waterproof shoes is designed to hug your foot and keep everything outside exactly there, leaving your feet comfortable and dry.

These are also some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever tested. To the same level as other spikeless shoes such as the Adidas Adizero the X 007 is as lightweight as any shoe I’ve owned. There is cushioning every place that every part of your foot touches. From the padding under the tongue that has as memory foam quality about it, to the PMX fit heel that moulds itself about your Achilles and offers incredible stability.

The TPU outsole has the most beautiful Pearlized finish. When you prod it with your finger it feels like something you could jump up and perform an effortless slam dunk in. There is quite literally a spring in my step as I walk the fairways or down the driving range. This comfort comes armed with some of the best traction on a spikeless shoe I’ve ever experienced. I’m a big spikes fan and to fall as head over heels as I have for a spikeless pair means they must be good.

The design of the sole hosts two different shape of rubber nubs that are strategically positioned to maximize traction in not one but three dimensions. When cranking up the golf swing I’ve always struggled with stability in my lower half, one of the reasons I’ll always wear spiked shoes. These really helped me to use the ground and develop some really decent torque at the top and power through the ball. The TPU propulsion plate helps stabilize the whole shoe and ensures the golfer to use ground forces and really helped me believe I was more stable through the ball. The X 007’s have upgraded my impact position.

That springy feel that I referred to earlier kicks in here but in a way that made me feel I was almost nestled into the c ground through my feet. Payntr has designed the PMX Foam midsole to be softer for energy return and responsiveness. I could almost feel the ground through my feet. This is very helpful if you’re someone who feels the slopes on the green to help you read putts.

From a swing point of view I felt I got a bit of a boost through the ball. The fit is magic and you’ll notice the sizing is very accurate. The 3D Molded Performance Footbed means I’m wearing these on and off the course. My pair of X 003 that I have had for a few years now, became my faithful dog walking shoes thanks to their comfort and water resistance. Absolute winners both on and off the course. I cannot wait for Payntr to introduce spiked shoes to their women’s range, though I’ll be quite literally wowed if they offer even more traction than these. Great shoes from a great company.

As a long-time fan of adidas golf shoes, I voted the Tour360 24 the best spiked women’s shoe of 2024, and the Codechaos 25 is still my go-to, so I was genuinely excited to see if this latest model could earn a spot among the best women’s golf shoes out there.

First impressions? I think they look fantastic. Sleek and modern, with a clean, technical vibe thanks to the mostly white upper and the classic three stripes. I really like the subtle pops of colour, a mix of reddish-orange, pink, and silver, which feel fresh and fun without being over the top. This kind of styling really appeals to me, similar to the Ecco Biom H5 textile model or Under Armour’s Phantom Fore.

I’m familiar with adidas sizing, and I’d recommend going up half a size for the best fit. This pair did feel slightly firm straight out of the box, but they didn’t take long to break in, and once they did, the comfort really came through.

On the course, the first thing you notice is how incredibly light they are. I never felt weighed down, and the Lightstrike Pro cushioning strikes a great balance between softness and responsiveness. There’s plenty of comfort to keep you going through 18 holes, but it’s not so plush that you lose that all-important ground feel.

Performance-wise, they live up to the hype. The SPIKEMORE outsole is the star of the show for me, it genuinely gives the same kind of grip and traction I’d expect from a traditional spiked shoe.

The undercut lugs around the edges, paired with the new Dynamic Torsion plate running from the middle of the foot to the front, made me feel totally grounded throughout my swing. There’s just enough spring without my foot shifting around, so I always felt in control, especially on uneven lies. Even with all that support, the outsole still feels really light, which adds to how easy and effortless these shoes are to wear.

Overall, I think these shoes are an excellent choice for serious golfers who prioritise modern design, reliable grip, and lightweight comfort. They may be a bit of an investment, but for golfers who value performance with a fresh edge, they're well worth considering.

UA’s Phantom Fore women’s golf shoe feels like a running shoe disguised as golf gear, and that’s exactly what makes it interesting. This is the first Under Armour shoe I have ever tested, so I was keen to find out if it’s a strong contender as one of the best women’s golf shoes for 2025.

It’s as light as anything, a similar weight to the Ecco Biom H5 Textile model and FootJoy Quantum. It has a sporty, streamlined shape and I really like the understated distant gray/stream colorway, which feels very clean and easy to wear with anything, while the upper has a unique sculpted feel with a textured, raised pattern.

It took a bit of a wiggle to get them on, although the pull at the collar and heel helped for easier on and off. Once they were on, my feet felt very secure in the knit-sock style. The overall shape is quite close-fitting through the mid-foot, but I didn’t feel cramped, and the soft interior lining added a nice touch. I like the high soft knit collar and the extra support from the TPU heel counter, but women with a high instep might prefer a looser fit around the ankle.

One of the standout features is UA’s HOVR cushioning system, which felt noticeably bouncy and supportive from the first step. There’s that subtle spring you get with well-designed running shoes, and it stayed consistent during the round, so my feet still felt fresh after 18 holes. If you usually walk the course or just want something that feels softer underfoot and is highly breathable, this shoe definitely delivers as one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women.

The spikeless sole in the stream (light blue) color has directional rubber studs and I found that it performed well in mixed conditions when I tested them on slightly damp fairways and firmer ground.

I was surprised to find out that the knit collar is NeverWet-treated and the upper has a waterproof membrane, as the Phantom Fore looks primarily like a summer shoe. An added benefit should you get caught in a downpour and you receive a one-year waterproof warranty. I also like the extra support around the heel thanks to the light blue TPU heel counter, which creates a striking visual contrast with gray.

This isn’t a shoe for someone looking for a classic leather style, such as Skechers GoGolf Jasmine 2. The Phantom Fore is for women who want performance and comfort without compromising on a lighter, more athletic feel, similar to the G/Fore G/18 and New Balance 327. It’s the kind of pair you could travel in, walk a full course in, and still wear to go out afterwards without feeling like you need to change.

The Biom H5 is the latest offering from ECCO’s range of performance golf shoes. Inspired by the flowing Nordic fjords and the rugged Scottish Highlands, it’s designed to tackle any conditions in ultimate comfort, so did the Textile model impress?

The silvery grey midsole was the first thing that caught my attention as its abstract look reminds me of being in the mountains, reflecting the nature-inspired design of this shoe.

But that’s not the only reason why it stands out, as the Textile is the summer edition of the Biom H5 and the upper has open mesh for added comfort in warm weather. There are no bright pops of color like Duca del Cosma's Latina model, but its overall appearance is very stylish in neutral shades of cream and grey with green peeping through the mesh and on the sole. It’s also available in beige.

I felt confident in these shoes as soon as I put them on, as I really like their appearance and the way they fit, which is snug, but enough room at the front without squeezing my toes. It has a removable and washable Ortholite insole for cushioning with the option of removing it if you need extra width.

I like the low profile and I was convinced that it’s lower than some of the other best women’s golf shoes on the market, such as Duca del Cosma’s Olivera 2 and G/Fore’s MG4+ O2 G/Lock, but when I compared them, that’s not the case, so it must just be how they look and feel to me!

I was not surprised that these shoes delivered the comfort and performance I was expecting, as the brand has an established history of packing their shoes with technology for happy feet.

The tongue, which comes up quite high and is handy to use for pulling your foot into the shoe, is made in a soft and silky fabric, which runs round to the heel where there is additional padding. The overall cushioning is great for a nice and springy lightweight shoe.

As for Ecco’s new Terra Traction System sole, which is a highlight of the Biom H5, it’s very strong and sturdy, so I found no problem finding grip and stability over my shots. I didn’t have to tackle any extreme conditions, but just by looking at the sole, I think it would do a pretty good job.

I wouldn’t fancy trying to clean mud off the mesh upper in the winter, so this is definitely a summer shoe and I would also say one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women.

The Clarity skort is from Pure Golf’s Pastel Haze collection and the Violet Fields print in pastel shades of purple and iliac is delicate without feeling fussy. Also, the colors work well with a wide range of tops in the summery collection.

It’s a classic style, fairly fitted, not the widest around the hips, but I would have thought it would suit most body shapes as it’s certainly not too clingy, nor are the undershorts! I’m usually a size 10, but it’s worth pointing out that I downsized with this one for a perfect fit. There are a lot of pull-on skorts out there at the moment, but this has a zip and button closure, as well belt loops should you want to add a finishing touch.

The Clarity is slightly longer than some of the other best golf skorts I’ve worn this season, but it was nonetheless flattering, and of course, it’s personal preference in the length you become used to and feel most comfortable.

I found it comfortable around my waist, the waistband has just enough stretch and I like the fact that it has four pockets - two scooped pockets at the front and two patch pockets at the back. The front pockets are highlighted with silver studs that are engraved with the Pure Golf logo and this adds to the detailing.

It doesn’t ride up when you’re walking the course or swinging a club, nor do the in-built undershorts, so I could keep my modesty! I also found the fabric to be breathable, as I wore this skort on a warm day, and I didn’t become too hot and sticky.

I also noticed that it stayed looking fresh, thanks to the anti-crease fabric, and the best thing, after a machine wash, there was no need to iron. This is a competitively priced easy-to-wear skort and combined with either a top in the same print, or a matching plain color, you’ve got yourself a striking outfit.

The Lanark collection from Abacus is designed to protect golfers from the wind without having to wear too many clothes. Wherever you live, wind can be chilling, and living in the UK, I didn’t have to wait too long to put this windshirt to the test.

When describing the weight of this piece, words cannot do it justice. It weighs just 5oz, so it’s unbelievably light and I can honestly say, it’s one of the lightest garments I’ve ever tested. I was almost scared to wear it in case I ripped it! It’s available in four colors - violet, navy, white/navy - and the light pink shown here, which I would describe as salmon pink, and a pretty color combination with white. It also has a very subtle wavy print and is shaped with side panels.

I wouldn’t have thought it’s easy to sew a pocket into such a fine fabric, but it has a zipped chest pocket that’s big enough for a few small essentials. The full zip extends all the way up into a folded down chin guard for added protection from breezy conditions.

The stretch in the fabric makes it flexible, so it’s easy to swing, and because it’s so light, I didn’t even realise that I had it on. I wore this over a sleeveless polo shirt, but given the short sleeves are loose fitting, there’s the option to wear it over a long-sleeve shirt or even a thin mid layer. In autumnal or more wintry conditions, this would be your best bet.

I cannot say that I’ve tested this windshirt in a gale force wind, nor did I test its water repellency, but it was breezy, and I did recognise the benefits, as it took the edge off when I needed an extra layer for protection. This is such a handy garment, especially because you can fold it to next to nothing, knowing it’s in your golf bag should you need it.

Famara, a name that was inspired by the founder’s home in the Canary Islands where the spectacular Famara Beach sits in Lanzarote, creates individual golf and fitness clothing using unique artwork, including this frill hem dress in Anemone., which is also available in four other vibrant colorways.

Anemone is a really rich print with splashes of deep red, purple, green and white, so it’s certainly eye-catching and for that reason alone features in some of the best women's golf clothes. I’m not usually drawn to such a bold print, or frills, but I couldn’t help but feel good in this dress, feeling very feminine, largely due to the frill hem.

The fabric is soft and stretchy, and it feels very generous, not at all clingy. If anything, I would say size down for the most flattering fit. It falls elegantly from the shoulders and over the body, it’s not overly fitted at the waist.

If you prefer a slightly longer length than some of the other dresses, best women's skorts and best women's shorts on the market, then this dress is ideal, and its length also means that it can easily be worn from the course to casual with a pair of heels!

I particularly like the classic collar and zipped placket, which highlights the attention to detail in the making of this dress, as it’s nicely finished with neat stitching and a sleek zip puller. There’s also a discrete zipped pocket on each side, which I found handy for golf essentials.

Comfort-wise, as it’s roomy, it allowed unrestricted movement and I still felt cool and fresh after 18 holes. The detachable undershorts are in the same print, and these stayed firmly in place without any need to adjust.

All in all, if you want to make a bold statement, embrace your femininity and play in comfort, this dress is worth considering.

Latina is a new addition to Duca del Cosma’s extensive range of women’s golf shoes, which has been introduced at a slightly lower price point to join the Italian brand’s fashion-forward collection.

Like many of the latest women’s golf shoes, the design leans more towards sneakers than traditional golf shoes, so I was keen to find out how it compared in terms of comfort and performance, as one of the best women’s golf shoes for 2025.

It is an eye-catcher, as the bright pink and mint green strips that highlight the smooth white upper and the fancy lacing system really stand out. This is complemented by green and light beige around the heel counter with a nice leather heel pull tab. This is the only colorway available in this model, and while these are not colors that I’m immediately drawn to, I must admit, they do create a vibrant and refreshing vibe. They look and feel durable, they’re certainly not heavy, but not as lightweight as G/Fore’s MG4+ O2 G/Lock or FootJoy’s Quantum spikeless golf shoe.

I wore these shoes straight out of the box and didn’t get any rubbing or pinching. The upper is flexible, with just enough structure to keep its shape without feeling stiff. I appreciated the padded heel and the removable insole as this adds extra comfort and cushioning with noticeable arch support. The fit runs slightly on the narrow side, so if you’re between sizes or tend to need a roomier fit, it might be worth trying the next size up.

Performance-wise, this shoe does everything I needed it to. The Airplay Roma outsole is robust with small strategically placed nubs and these gave me a secure grip. I never felt like I was slipping and I felt stable during my swing and while walking the course. It’s worth mentioning that these shoes also have a waterproof bootie system to keep your feet dry, and if you want to make a bolder statement, you can swap the laces from white to pink.

These shoes are clearly made with care and attention to detail, just like Duca del Cosma's Olivera 2, so for anyone wanting a sneaker-style shoe that looks a bit different from the array of women’s golf shoes out there, this one delivers.

If bold, fashion forward footwear is you, these are right up your street. G/FORE is not for wallflowers and these will definitely get some comments! They are almost Balenciaga in style.

The G/18 golf shoes are comfortable in the right size, I find this brand comes up small, so I’d size it up slightly. This may be unpopular, but I’m not a huge fan of the massaging insole so taking that out also gives you a bit more room. It is removable and washable for those that love it, I find it just puts pressure on my feet over 18-holes in a way that's not terribly enjoyable or relaxing to me. However I know many members of the Golf Monthly team love these insoles so try these on first to see if you like the feel.

I love waterproof golf shoes, especially for wetter days or dewy mornings because nothing worse than going in the rough and having a wet foot for a round. And these are indeed waterproof so can deliver nice protection here.

The Gravitee Traction System on the soles are great for people who like to use a lot of power in their swing and want to stay steady on their feet. It is worth saying that the traction here was solid given the spikeless design but for those wet and winter rounds, I would still recommend spiked golf shoes instead.

I play quite a bit of golf and the feet get tired and all support is welcome! The Crash Pad Heel helps especially on more hilly courses and this shoe also has a Heel-to-Toe Rocker Design which mimics a walking pattern. With these little design features, G/FORE has built a shoe that thinks of all the little things that add up to a very comfortable wear. Additionally these shoes are wide soled which always makes you feel like you’re walking on clouds.

The colourway of blush is perfect for me, but for the boldest the knockout pink is a show stopper. G/FORE always includes a choice of laces which I love. I can be a bit of a plain Jane for footwear when it comes down to it, mainly because I like something that goes with everything, but an exception can be made when fashion meets function.

I do prefer to be on the smarter side of golf wear rather than straight sporty, and these New Balance 480 Waterproof Spikeless Golf Shoes are retro basketball inspired, it wouldn’t be a natural go-to for me. After a bit of time with them I’ve come to like the modern feel and the waterproof aspect which wins me over. I always want to see more shoe brands in golf, for variety, so I’m glad that New Balance is invested in crossing over into the golf sneaker realm.

Comfort really is my main thing, so their CUSH+ insole is welcome, especially as this cut of shoe can be slightly uncomfortable. I imagine this style will divide opinion, as they are quite casual looking and don’t look like traditional golf shoes. I like the shoes but maybe not for the course however New Balance won the argument!

There are two kinds of waterproof golf shoes, the ones that look like they are plastic and ones that look like leather, this New Balance shoe is the latter. The waterproof aspect makes it slightly tougher material, the shoes are not totally inflexible but they are a little stiff. It's only towards the end of the rounds they start to pinch a bit. I don’t have wide feet, something to note if you do they are comfortable but don’t have a lot of give.

I find that there aren’t enough cream shoes, mainly white or other colors and I do like neutrals and navy. This shoe color is a win for me because it doesn’t shout. It also seems that I’m getting into women's spikeless shoes a little more as the grip is good enough for me. I never felt that my movement was compromised and I haven't slipped once on the tee or playing other shots.

The 480 is one of New Balance's most popular shoes; they have them in many colorsways off the course. It's easy to see why, they also paired nicely with quite a few of my golf outfits which I didn’t expect, they are now firm favorites!

I’m a fan of Ecco golf shoes as I have slightly flat feet and have had a few other foot issues over the years. The Danish brand prides itself on quality and a leader in crafting shoes that prioritize comfort and foot health. They have steadily gained popularity in golf since Fred couples turned heads debuting a pair of their spikeless golf shoes at the 2010 Masters.

Let’s get to their latest offering the Biom H5, first impressions, I’m not a fan of the beige, well not this shade of it as it looks flesh colored, thankfully there are two other color options available, in a white with a green sole (my favorite) and white with a purple sole. Ecco claim to have been inspired by the wild and rugged nature of the Scottish Highlands, which explains the rugged design around the shoe. I’m unsure about it myself, I know this is the modern trend now for a lot of running shoes, but I’m not fully sold on the look.

The next thing that stands out on this shoe is the seamless knit sock that replaces where traditionally there would be a tongue and while there are laces you do not need to tie them. The sock gives the impression these could be slip ins, but they aren’t, you will still need a hand to put them on.

As an Ecco fan I know what to expect when it comes to the feel of wearing them, but these shoes exceeded my expectations, it feels like a glove for your foot, which is likely thanks to Ecco’s BIOM natural technology, that promotes a snug fit. The arch support felt amazing, and my foot felt very secure and stable. They were so comfortable I almost forgot it looked like a boot made of human flesh. To play in they were a dream and required no breaking in, like I have experienced with other Ecco shoes. The Ecco Terra Traction System outsole provided fantastic grip. I would happily wear these all year round, knowing my foot would stay comfortable and dry.

New Balance have been enjoying a renaissance since being the leading light of the ‘Dad Shoe’ trend that kicked off in 2018. Now they are taking that success to the course with their latest offering, the retro cool 327 women's spikeless golf shoe.

At first glance there is very little difference between the casual 327’s and the golf version, but New Balance have been sure to add features specific to golf such as the waterproof microfibre upper, along with the Ndurance spikeless rubber outsole that is flexible and offers great grip wherever you find yourself out on the course.

I’ve had sneaker style golf shoes before, but these took me a good few holes to accept as golf shoes, that’s how much they felt like out and about trainers. I tend to judge the traction of shoes when hitting drives and these passed that test with flying colors and offered good grip. Typically, I do prefer a slightly more rigid sole that offers a bit more stability. In terms of comfort these were good, and I put them on to play 18 holes straight out if the box with no issues.

It is worth noting though, that I needed to go up half a size, I’m normally a 7 to a 7.5 but needed to go up to an 8 in these. The profile on the shoe is very flattering and didn’t elongate my foot like other brands can when you need a bigger size. Fit wise as someone with feet on the flatter side, I would have also loved a bit more arch support, it just makes walking long distances more comfortable.

I will be playing in these through the summer and on the dryer winter days, but when it gets very wet, I will likely change back to a more robust winter shoe, like the Adidas Tour 360 or Ecco LT1’s. Overall though I am very impressed by this shoe, it performed well looks great and truly is a two for one, you could happily wear this just as much off the course.

The Olivera is a sassy looking shoe and would sit happily in a classy Milan fashion boutique with fashionistas completely unaware that this is in fact an undercover high performing golf shoe! It just looks so darn good, so much so they are competing for the top spot when it comes to the best women's golf shoes out there right now.

Let’s first focus on the looks and admit that this is one beautiful shoe. Crafted from the finest and softest Nappa leathers it feels like the interior of a limited edition Ferrari on your feet. Looking good and making you feel a million dollars at the same time. The Duca Del Cosma logo is stamped on a finely cushioned tongue as well as embroidered on the heel. A bit like the infamous car manufacturer this stamp immediately tells the golfing world this is a top of the range model.

The rose gold leather is metallic without being patent. Some metallic shoes come across so reflective it puts you off your putting stroke. The sunlight dances on this mix of tumbled and smooth leathers and adds a large dose of glamour rather than bling to your game. The copper eyelets the laces thread through are also stamped with the brand and compliment the color of the leather beautifully. These shoes come with two options of lace color, cream and a what I’d call a ballet shoe pink. Both look fantastic in and I love that you get another option to change up the look. The ballet pink tones down the metallic a touch which might suit some. This customization option is fast becoming a popular choice for high end shoes, including the Women’s G/FORE G/18 shoe.

The wide and chunky soles of these shoes makes them feel extremely fashionable, almost like the trainers worn for street dance by teenage girls far trendier and more coordinated than me. Yet wearing these raised not just my height but my confidence. These shoes make you feel amazing. I will admit to having worn them at every given opportunity and this includes to a fashion event paired with a black PXG golf dress. Opting for these eye-catching trainer style shoes over a pair of wedges or heels was the easiest decision I’ve ever made getting ready to go out. They are so smart for apres golf and add a sprinkling of disco fun to any outfit.

Comfort wise these are off the chart. The soft leather inside means they fit like slippers from the first try on. Add to that the waterproof bootie system meaning your feet stay dry. Fashionable and functional. I would hesitate wearing them in muddy conditions. Not because I doubted their ability to keep my feet dry but because I love these shoes too much to walk through puddles in. It just wouldn’t feel right. But mark my words these are fully capable of handling a bit of casual water. These are waterproof golf shoes so are well up to the job and having walked through some dewy semi-rough in these my socks stayed bone dry and they looked as dazzling as before I went hunting for my ball.

The traction (delivered by the Airplay 15 Smart Sole Design) is really impressive, making these a worthy addition to our best women's spikeless shoe guide. As with the Payntr 007. a wider sole peppered with rubber nubs is a safe bet in the stability stakes and I felt so balanced as I hit the ball. The 3 different shapes of Nubs (each with a different job to do – stability, traction and control) provide grip every direction you move, they cover the entire sole including creeping up the back of the heel. Fantastic if you play a hilly course.

The sole also offers an offset medial toe bumper that protects our luxurious Nappa leather and adds a barrier to the toe of the shoe. Protecting it from both the follow through and potential toe scuffs in the car park. I for one being fairly accident prone, have shut a door on my foot and caught it on a concrete step and its safe to say these rubber bumpers saved the day. Not a scuff mark in sight.

I think it’s clear I am in love with these show stoppers, I will continue to officially live in them especially off the golf course. A brilliant investment as the usage is off the charts. Well worth the generous price tag and simply sensational. I think the only issue I can think of is be aware of sizes as there are very few half sizes available.

Skechers first launched the GoGolf collection in 2018 with style and performance in mind. The GoGolf Jasmine 2 shoes are Skechers answer to comfort and traction and really fit the bill when it comes to all round great shoes.

The 100% waterproof synthetic upper really does feel and look like you’re slipping on a pair of marshmallows (in the most athletic sense of course) that will help you float around the golf course.

These are a real hybrid of traditional looking shoe combined with a trainer. They are just the right mix of casual and smart. Attractive accents of gold (Skechers logo and gold sole) make these shoes subtly classy and I’m gently in love with them. The white with gold will go with every single outfit I own so they’re a quick wardrobe selection. Add to that they perform brilliantly and feel very stable when you swing. Skechers are onto a winner here.

Let’s talk traction. The sole is peppered with grip thanks to the GRIPFLEX spikeless TPU outsole. Add to this the addition of 5 soft spike pulsar spikes and you’ve got grip in just the right places. Not quite at the same level of FootJoy’s HyperFlex or Adidas 360 but these do the job beautifully. The fact these spikes are replaceable gives the Jasmine 2 shoes a decent lifespan that means they are a great investment.

As soon as you slip these shoes on your feet feel like they’ve been enveloped in magic marshmallows that surely must make you a better golfer. The pillow soft Reactive Move Foam insole is like a hug for your soles. I walked hard hilly golf courses in these shoes in the heat and I’ll admit to them being amongst the most comfortable I’ve ever played in. Temperatures were mid 20’s and my feet did not at any point overheat. Much like FootJoy Flex shoes these performed like a running shoe from a breathability point of view, yet they look less trainer like than the Flex and stand up in the wetter, muddy conditions.

Although Skechers have them listed under Athletic Trainers on their website I feel these are at the smarter end of that and would survive winter golf happily. The breathability may be partly down to the textile elements of both the upper and the insole. wicking moisture away and keep feet comfy. The synthetic materials that make up the upper on these shoes are super lightweight and easily wiped clean. I’ve spilt my coffee on them, the material feels satin to the touch and yet it wiped clean brilliantly.

All in all this is a great shoe, I always say for anyone who goes after comfort over anything else then Skechers is a good shout. The GoGolf Jasmine 2 goes beyond comfort and adds performance in making it a top class shoe choice.

The new MG4+ O2 G/Lock golf shoe from G/Fore builds on the design and comfort of the popular MG4+, but aimed at enhancing greater performance with a high-tech sole for better grip and balance. It’s a spiked option in the brand’s extensive women’s collection, so is it one of the best women’s golf shoes on the market?

Like the MG4+ women's golf shoe, this latest offering is a very athletic looking shoe, and in fact I think it’s hard to beat this fashion-forward brand when it comes to golf shoe styling. It’s available in three colorways - snow/blush, snow/twilight or snow/multi - with a lot of detail packed into this shoe.

For me, there are just enough standout features and colors without it looking too garish. It did take me a while to get used to the colorway of G/Fore’s G.112 Kiltie golf shoe. If you do want to make a bold statement, consider the MG4+ O2 G/Lock skull and tees golf shoe, the snow/multi model.

I really like the soft pink color that highlights the top of the mid sole and the shiny external heel counter, as this color compliments the white upper really nicely. The laces also have a touch of soft pink, but it these details combined that makes you want to give this shoe a second look.

It has a deep and spongy feeling midsole, similar to the midsole of FootJoy’s Quantum women’s golf shoe. While some women might prefer a less chunky looking sole, I like the height that these soles offer. In fact, one of my favorite golf shoes last year was Duca del Cosma’s Alesi, which had a platform sole.

I found these shoes to be true to size, extremely comfortable straight out of the box, however, my feet aren’t wide and G/Fore do recommend going up half a size if you do have wide feet. When it comes to comfort, this shoe has a foam footbed and I have to mention the removable insole, which gives you a mini massage as you walk, and is just what you need over 18 holes. It’s genius.

Now let’s look at the performance of this shoe - does the sole do a good job. First off, it’s largely bright pink and extends through to the protective toe cap, which many golf shoes have nowadays. There are lateral traction lugs and ten replaceable Softspikes, six at the front and four at the back.

I wore these shoes over a couple of rounds when the ground had started to dry out. I felt very locked in from the ground up and the grip was effective, I didn’t find myself falling off shots and I found the overall performance on a par with the adidas women’s Tour 360 shoe.

If you’re after a well made athletic looking shoe that combines style with exceptional performance, then this latest model from G/Fore is worth considering.

FootJoy introduced its Quantum shoe in 2024, calling it the most comfortable spikeless shoe the company has ever produced due to new golf-specific technology. The shoe has proved popular and is now available in a new colorway for the 2025 season, so I was keen to form my own opinion and find out if it is one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women.

Let’s consider the look of this shoe first. Out of all the women’s shoes in the FootJoy range, I would say that this one is the most athletic looking and I believe this is largely due to the design of the platform. It has a soft bobble effect and reminds me of the sensation you get if you squeeze bubble wrap!

I also like the tonal upper, which in this case, has purple accents and the pull tab at the heel, the toe cap and sole feature in the same color. Even the two-tone laces and the ‘FJ’ in grey on the outer side of the heel add to the overall modern styling of this shoe. If you’re looking for a more traditional looking golf shoe, you might want to opt for FootJoy’s Traditions model or Puma’s Avant.

I was slightly concerned about the sizing, as I’m usually a size 6, however I wore 5.5 straight out of the box over 18 holes and in this model they proved to be the right size.

It’s fair to say that with a brand as established as FootJoy, you always know what you’re going to get - a well-made, durable golf shoe, and while the FootJoy Flex is another comfortable shoe in the women’s collection, Quantum does exceed itself in the comfort stakes with a SofFOAM midsole, which is the softest foam ever used in a FootJoy shoe.

The leather is very soft and I particularly like the area around the heel, as it’s noticeably stronger than the rest of the shoe to provide extra support where needed. Although the heel is quite high at the back, it’s so well cushioned that I’d be surprised if it would become a problem area for any female golfer. I cannot forget to mention the comfy Ortholite Impressions FitBed, which also features in the FootJoy’s Pro/SLX model, and over time it moulds to the natural shape of your foot, which is clever.

As for performance, because my feet were hugged by these shoes, I felt confident wearing them even before I’d hit a shot. Quantum features the same traction technologies as the Hyperflex and Pro/SLX models, so with multiple shapes and patterns on the sole, this helps to optimise performance against rotational and lateral swing forces, and so enhances your grip and traction from various lies. I did feel completely in control from the ground up, considering it was still slightly damp underfoot.

I was impressed by the overall performance of this shoe and it provides an exceptionally easy walk. Plus it’s waterproof and comes with a 1-year warranty so all-in-all, definitely one to consider this season.

Stromberg has spent over 45 years building a reputation for quality and affordable clothing. When it comes to the best women’s golf rain gear, a waterproof jacket is essential, delivering both comfort and performance in challenging weather. I was therefore eager to see how this jacket measures up against the top options on the market.

The HydroPro waterproof jacket is constructed with waterproof and breathable fabric (20000mm/10000g/m²r), but what do these numbers mean? Basically, 5,000mm is the minimum rating for a jacket to be called waterproof, while 20,000mm is the highest rating to protect you from heavy rain. As for breathability, 10,000 is more than satisfactory to keep golfers comfortable.

This jacket is incredibly lightweight and, at just under £70, offers remarkable value compared to pricier options like the Galvin Green Amy or Kjus Pro 3L 3.0 jacket. Naturally, I wondered whether it would deliver the essential technological features and performance needed to keep me dry and comfortable.

For me, I like the length because it sits just over my backside, so providing generous coverage. Although there are no toggles to adjust the fit, the cut is very feminine and I would say that it’s true to size. It comes in black and the zip is highlighted with a light pink strip.

What impressed me most, and bearing in mind the price, were the number of features, such as adjustable Velcro cuffs, two slanted pockets with water-resistant zips at the front, and there’s even a small zipped pocket inside at the chest for a few accessories.

I’m a big fan of hoods on waterproof jackets, it makes perfect sense, and like Ping’s Milli waterproof jacket and adidas Women's Rain.RDY golf jacket, the HydroPro has a hood that is both adjustable and detachable.

In terms of performance, I didn’t find it restrictive when swinging a club, as the fabric is fairly stretchy. I wouldn’t say it’s the warmest waterproof jacket that I’ve ever worn, so on a cold and wet day you would need to wear a cosy layer or two underneath.

Most importantly, playing in persistent rain, although not torrential, this jacket kept me dry. It has a storm flap at the back, and while I realise it’s designed to act as a barrier against rain, I’m not convinced how much protection this would provide if rain was exceptionally heavy.

All-in-all I cannot believe the style and function that this waterproof jacket offers at such an affordable price.

The Gallivan2r is one of the latest additions to G/Fore’s vast collection of women’s shoes that combine high fashion and performance for an unmistakable modern and stylish look. This model combines the classic design of the Gallivanter shoe with the comfort of the MG4+, so I was keen to find out if Gallivan2r is now one of the best women’s golf shoes out there.

Compared with G/Fore’s women’s G.112 kiltie golf shoe, the first thing I noticed about Gallivan2r was its classic and more understated style, although in fairness, this was probably due to the all-over black, rather than a mix of vibrant colors.

It’s one of the most classy looking shoes I’ve seen this year with a patent-type toe, as well as a shiny rigid black heel counter and topped off with a glossy patch on the kiltie. I haven’t always been a big fan of kilties, but they’re definitely on-trend, and I must admit I like it on this model, perhaps because it’s black on black and blends nicely with the shoe’s overall design and it also highlights the brand’s circle G’s embossed logo.

It wouldn’t be a G/Fore shoe if there wasn’t an element of fun, or a splash of color somewhere, and that’s found on the sole, which has nubs in a variety of colors including shades of pink, purple and red.

It has a low profile, unlike for example, FootJoy’s Pro/SLX, and the leather does not immediately feel as soft and giving as Ecco’s Biom C4 or Duca del Cosma’s Alesi golf shoe, but that’s not to say that over 18 holes I didn’t find the Gallivan2R as one of the most comfortable golf shoes for women because they are nicely cushioned. I would say this shoe is true to size, but it felt fairly snug, although I like this in a golf shoe as it allows you to feel compact and stable over your shots.

This shoe is available in five colorways, but this color is perfect for winter golf and I managed to easily wipe off mud to bring it back to shiny newness! It’s also very lightweight, so playing in wet and muddy conditions, which can be exhausting, provides easy walking.

One of the best things about G/Fore shoes is the unique massaging insole. Once you’ve got used to the sensation underfoot, it’s a design feature that most women will love. I was impressed by the grip too, thanks to the G/Pod cleat system, as well as secondary traction lugs. This shoe might be spikeless, but it definitely has the ability to perform well all year round.

The Algarve boot spearheads Duca del Cosma’s women’s ‘Cool Season’ collection, and it is one of five boots to choose from. The Italian brand is renowned for producing fashion-forward, high performing golf shoes, so I was keen to find out how the Algarve compares to previous models and the best golf boots on the market.

Duca del Cosma women’s products never lose their wow factor when you take them out of the box, styling goes the extra mile, and the spikeless Algarve boot is no exception. Available in black or brown with an extra pair of color interchangeable laces, the soft leather is complemented with an attractive patent design at the front, around the neck of the boot, and a touch between the sole and midsole.

I also like the pop of color on the tongue and eyestay, which I would describe as shiny gold, almost bronze, so stylish but not too showy! Branding is very subtle with ‘Duca del Cosma’ in silver on the side and etched into the eyelets, and an embroidered ‘C’ on the back of the heel.

Compared with Duca del Cosma’s Olivia boot, which looks very much like an everyday boot rather than just for golf, the overall appearance of the new Algarve boot looks more performance driven, slightly more chunky looking. This is because the main technological feature is the Airplay 15 sole, as seen on the Olivera golf shoe. It might look heavier, but it’s actually an extremely lightweight sole with a heel-strike at the back, designed for more stability, and a toe counter at the front that protects the shoe through your downswing.

I would say my feet are medium to wide sized. You need to open up the laces considerably to get this boot on and off, but once your foot is inside, it’s a snug yet comfortable fit, without any pinching. From the top of the collar through to the inside, it has a fluffy warm lining so you immediately enjoy a nice cosy feeling.

As for performance, these are easy-walking boots that kept my feet warm and dry in semi-wet and muddy conditions. They are lightweight, although I wouldn’t say that I noticed a vast difference from the equally lightweight Olivia boot. Where this model excels is the stability and grip it provides, which is thanks to the quality of the Airplay 15 sole and its three different types of nubs. There was no slipping around when walking or swinging the club, I felt totally stable.

This is a top of the range golf boot, you’re paying for luxurious styling and quality performance in equal measure, but if you play a lot of winter golf or partake in other outdoor activities, consider it to be a worthwhile investment.

KJUS, founded by world class Norwegian skier Lasse Kjus, is a brand that has become renowned for producing premium sportswear for active lifestyles. The women’s Pro 3L 3.0 jacket is part of a new generation of extremely lightweight and stretchy golf rainwear, so how did it compare to the best rain jackets on the market?

It’s fair to say that as soon as I put on this KJUS waterproof jacket I could feel the quality of the fabric and as I discovered a number of unique features, I was really impressed by the attention to detail that has gone into creating this rain gear.

In fact, it incorporates various fabrics and bonded seams, and is cleverly designed in this way to help regulate your body temperature, allowing for breathability where you need it most. As you would expect, there is no bulk, and like most of today’s latest waterproof jackets, this one is ultra light, similar to Galvin Green’s Amy and Ping’s Milli jacket.

I really like how you can adjust the fit, not only at the hem, but also by using the drawcord in each zipped side pocket, I was able to pull it in at the waist, so along with adjustable cuffs, I achieved a comfortable and highly flattering fit. The pockets have a lovely soft brushed lining, and I’ve since found out that it’s a brushed volcanic mineral fabric that absorbs moisture. Branding is simple and classy, embossed in white on the front of the collar, below the right shoulder on the back and on the Velcro of the cuffs.

A key feature of this latest generation of rainwear is the fabric’s Hyper 3D stretch that’s incorporated into the side panels. It has a ribbed effect, which adds to the jacket’s overall distinctive style. I wore this jacket over a couple of layers without feeling restricted when playing during a couple of downpours and of course, I would have been mightily surprised if I had not stayed 100% dry!

It has a double zip and stand-up collar, which is higher at the back for added protection. One thing I would like to see is a packaway hood, but that’s hardly something to complain about because when you team this jacket with Pro 3L 3.0 pants, you have a Rolls Royce suit.

Yes, this is a top of the range jacket and there are others on the market that will keep you dry, but if you’re looking for all the bells and whistles, then it’s hard to beat KJUS, and you’ll be more than happy to play golf in the rain.

Five years ago adidas introduced its Codechaos spikeless golf shoe franchise, which is designed to offer athletic performance in a sporty and non-traditional style. Codechaos 25 is the latest chapter, and while I haven’t tested previous generations, I was keen to see if this model is one of the best women’s golf shoes.

This is definitely not your average looking women’s golf shoe, and I understand why adidas describes this franchise as being disruptive. There’s a lot going on, which won’t suit everyone, but I really like how the colors including white, black and lucid lemon have been brought together, as well as adidas’s trademark three stripes in bright pink on the sole.

The upper is quite mesmerising because it’s made in a multi-layer knit with the top layer being mesh and highlighting a zig-zag type pattern underneath, plus there are three black and white stripes either side in a different pattern.

Aside from the upper, you can see this shoe is packed with technology. This model has a redesigned outsole with a new 3D TORSION plate to not only help with stability, but also a better overall fit to avoid midfoot bend to stop your heel slipping.

To be honest, before playing 18 holes in these shoes, I wore them straight out of the box walking around the Old Course, St Andrews during the AIG Women’s Open. I couldn’t fault their comfort and I received plenty of compliments due to the eye-catching design. I was most surprised at how my feet stayed dry in wet and windy conditions and how the shoe did not pick up too much dirt - what it did collect, I found it easy to clean.

But how did they perform on the golf course? They are lightweight, like Ecco’s LT1 and FootJoy’s Pro/SLX, and the different layers of the upper definitely do their job, providing comfort and flexibility. I felt stable over my shots, there was no rubbing and feet felt fresh at the end of the round.

The outsole is really sturdy, and although it’s the same TWISTGRIP found on previous generations, this one has been updated with a new lug shape for extra traction. While I cannot compare this shoe with previous models, what I can say is that my feet felt very solid on the ground without any slippage and locked in, similar to how I felt wearing the adidas spiked Tour360 24 shoe.
