1. Higgs was born on the 4th of December 1991 in Camden, New Jersey. He then grew up in Kansas as well as Philadelphia before moving to Texas.

2. His time in Philadelphia must have made quite the impression because despite living in Dallas, Higgs is a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles football team, which is a direct rival to the Dallas Cowboys.

3. As a youngster he loved playing baseball but eventually had to choose between playing that or golf. He chose golf and the rest is history.

4. He went to Southern Methodist University (SMU) and studied Sport Management up until 2014. Whilst there he played on the golf team alongside Bryson DeChambeau and Kelly Kraft.

5. Higgs has his brother Alex on the bag and they played on the same golf team at SMU. According to PGA Tour.com, Alex had a stint as a professional golfer before regaining his amateur status and began serving as caddie in February 2020.

6. Higgs turned professional in 2014.

7. He once missed a week of high school at the age of 17 to play on the Korn Ferry Tour.

8. His maiden professional victory came at the 2018 Peru Open on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica.

Speaking to the PGA Tour Higgs said of the experience; "He’s good. He’s really good. Kelly Kraft and a few other Dallas-based guys have played 18 holes with him and they say he’s hard to beat. He’s not ashamed to get one or two too many strokes, but how are you supposed to say no to someone who served our country for that long? That’s the least you can do. If you’re playing him for a Coke, it’s like, “OK, I’ll buy you a Coke, Mr. President.”

13. His drink of choice is vodka and water. His favourite brand seems to be Tito's Vodka.

14. Higgs currently resides in Dallas, Texas.

15. He finished T4th at the 2021 PGA Championship at Kiawah Island in his first ever Major start. He shot a bogey-free final round of 70 (-2).

Harry Higgs is one of the most popular characters on the PGA Tour, with the American regularly appearing in the top 125 of the FedEx Cup playoffs. Although he hasn't claimed a win on the PGA Tour, he has still had a number of successes.

A fan favourite, Higgs has had some decent results in an array of big events and, despite not winning on the big circuit, he has claimed victory on the Korn Ferry Tour. Here, we take a look at the American's net worth. 

Beginning with Higgs' career prize money, the American currently sits at around the $4.5 - $5 million mark. His best season to date came during 2020-21, as he picked up $1.8 million in 28 tournaments.

That year included a runner-up finish at the Safeway Open, as well as a T4 finish at the PGA Championship, his best ever placing at a Major. The result earned him around $500,000, with the runner-up spot at the Safeway Open securing his biggest payday of $720,000.

The following year, Higgs made $834,000, with only one top 10 finish meaning he landed outside the top 125 of the FedEx Cup; this was the first time he hadn't made it into the playoffs since 2019.

Regarding sponsorship, the American has a mixture of partners. We believe his longest sponsor is TaylorMade, with Higgs using a full bag of their clubs, as well as the TP5x golf ball. He also has a TaylorMade staff bag.

Along with TaylorMade, Higgs announced that he had signed a multi-year deal with Dude Wipes. You can probably guess what they produce... Speaking about the partnership, Higgs stated: "I’m so pumped to be a part of the Dude Wipes team! I pride myself on fun and authenticity, two attributes which Dude Wipes also exhibit. We’re going to have a ton of fun together helping golfers all across the country to keep it fresh!"

Higgs is also sponsored by Paradox, a conversational recruiting platform who also sponsor the likes of Lydia Ko and Rose Zhang. There is also Stifel, a global wealth management and investment banking company. The sponsorship details are unknown, but both brands have been with Higgs for a few years now.

American golfer Harry Higgs is still searching for his first victory on the PGA Tour, but when the popular pro does break his duck, you can be sure that his girlfriend Kailee Kuehn will be close by ready to celebrate with him. 

That's because she's his number one fan - and they go a long way back. Last year, when Higgs made his debut at Augusta National, he invited 50-odd family and friends, including, of course, Kuehn. No matter that he only got 12 tickets, fun-loving Higgs was always going to find a way to look after his entourage. So, in addition to his rental house, he secured an even bigger pad for his girlfriend and her family. 

Higgs' childhood house was on a golf course in Overland Park, Kansas. According to an interview with the PGA Tour, he grew up playing games with the Kuehns, who lived nearby.

"We’ve known each other forever and decided to start dating," Higgs said of Kailee in the interview last year. "We see each other a lot on the road; she doesn’t live here in Dallas just yet, but it’s nice to have somebody that kind of understands what I’m doing, and how much work needs to be put into it."

"There’s a bit of a misconception about Harry,” said Kuehn, who played at the University of Missouri Kansas City. "People think he goes home and drinks a beer and watches sports all night. He isn’t even much of a beer drinker."

Kuehn's Instagram account is private, but Higgs has shared a few pictures of them together on and off the golf course. One of his last posts shows them together on a golf course, in which in wishes Kuehn a happy 30th birthday. 

Going back further, he posted a picture wishing her a happy Valentine's Day. Clearly Higgs is a big romantic. 

Big changes are coming to the PGA Tour in 2023 as it attempts to offset the LIV Golf threat. However, Harry Higgs thinks they could be in vain without a improvement in the coverage of the Tour's events from its broadcast partners. 

Higgs was discussing next year's elevated events on the No Laying Up podcast, which will see higher prize money and the guarantee of appearances from the Tour's best players. However, he thinks for the new structure to be successful, it needs help from the TV companies. He said: “I see the amount of work that goes into showing us play golf, and it is ridiculous. And I really, really appreciate all the work that they all go through to do that. But at the end of the day, they do a s***, s*** job of telling the story of what’s going on. 

“So if we got an elevated schedule and the lesser ones are not elevated, but if you play good golf in those, you can get into the elevated ones, that’s awesome. That’s something I’m sure you would watch. I’m sure almost every listener would love to watch and follow along. But they make it too f***ing hard to follow along. I don’t trust them to tell the story the way that it should be.”

Despite his reservations, Higgs said that he thinks current CBS analyst Trevor Immelman, who recently replaced Nick Faldo in the role, is off to a good start. He said: “Well, it’s like, I didn’t particularly care to turn on my TV and listen to Nick Faldo. I don’t really know him that well. I’m sure he’s a decent guy. I didn’t particularly care. The reason I didn’t particularly care is I never saw the man. Like, he’s there Wednesday to Sunday. Just come out on the driving range. Now whether people talk to you or not, who knows? But listen to what’s going on. Trevor Immelman is taking his place - I see the man everywhere. I think he’s going to do a great job.”

The 31-year-old had similar praise for another CBS analyst, Colt Knost. He said: “Colt is everywhere. And Colt has the relationship with a lot of the current top-level guys. And even some of the not-so-top-level guys. It’s going to be easy for him to tell the story. Just stop. Just stop talking. We’re going to listen to Colt for an hour, for the end, because Harry is about to win, and Colt knows him really well. Or whomever it may be."

While making the narrative compelling enough to engage viewers is one area Higgs feels can improve, he also admitted that the changes being implemented by the PGA Tour are a gamble - and if it backfires, it could leave the PGA Tour diminished. He said: “Basically, those events need to generate a s*** ton of revenue to offset the cost of pumping money into purses, pumping money into bonuses. 

"If those events generate a ton of revenue, more than what we are putting into every pool, with purses, bonuses, all this stuff, all the money that is being shelled out, then we’re cool, we’re fine. We’re going to be just great. Every event is going to continue to run. If they don’t generate the revenue we think, or we’re hoping, then there is no way that there is anything other than a 20-event PGA Tour schedule starting probably year 2031."

American professional golfer Harry Higgs may be yet to win on the PGA Tour but he has quite the social media following and he is one of the most popular players out on Tour at the moment. But what does he put into his bag each week? Below we have taken a look.

Driver

TaylorMade SIM

Higgs is a TaylorMade staff player and plays a full bag of equipment. He starts with a TaylorMade SIM driver which has eight degrees of loft and a Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black RDX 60 TX shaft. This was a driver that found its way into the bags of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and many other top professionals when it came out but it has since been replaced in most professional bags. Therefore it is interesting to see Higgs stick with this model especially when you consider that he had the Stealth Plus driver in the bag for a while.

Hybrid

TaylorMade Stealth

Instead of a Stealth Plus hybrid, Higgs then opts for a regular Stealth Rescue design although he has also shown a liking for the older SIM2 Rescue as well. We believe his Stealth model has around 19 degrees of loft. It is fitted with a Project X HZRDUS Black Smoke RDX 105 6.5 X shaft.

Irons

TaylorMade P770

Higgs then uses a set of TaylorMade P770 irons which are quite rare to be used throughout the set. His set runs from four-iron down to pitching wedge whereas most players who use the P770 only seem to carry the model in the longer irons. Higgs has spoken about why he does this before and it's all about ensuring quality of strike. 

“I really don’t pay attention to what’s in other people’s bags to be quite honest with you, but there are [scratch players] that are so obsessed with having blade irons,” Higgs told the Fully Equipped podcast. “And they might be a great swinger of the club and skilled enough to use them, but if I’m over here using – I jokingly call them game improvement irons – why wouldn’t you? Usually that scratch player is like, ‘Oh I’ve hit blades forever.’ And it’s like a macho thing, right? ‘I’m the guy that hits blades at our club.’ It’s like, well, you might literally shoot lower scores if you don’t swing those irons. I’m pretty sure that the endgame of all this is to shoot the lowest score possible, right? So it may be, look, it might not work for everybody, but I think most people could…actually, if a PGA Tour pro is worried about his mishits and where they go, and how far they go, then everybody should be. So yes, it’s worth taking a look at maybe hitting something that’s a little bit easier to hit, and has a bit bigger sweetspot, and maybe is more forgiving. Because I can guarantee you we all hit bad shots, plenty throughout a day. Even days where we shoot six, seven, eight under, we’ve hit some bad shots.”

Wedges

TaylorMade Milled Grind 3

Shifting to the wedges Higgs carries three and they are all TaylorMade Milled Grind 3's. They have 52, 56 and 60 degrees of loft which is a fairly common setup out on Tour. A stunning look wedge, the kind of muscleback design suggests there isn't that much going on in the head but this would be false. Look closer and you’ll see the micro ribs in between the grooves after you’ve peeled the face-protecting sticker off, which then allows the face to rust over time.

Putter

TaylorMade Spider GT Rollback

His final club in the bag was a centre-shafted TaylorMade Spider Tour with a navy finish but he now decides to carry a TaylorMade Spider GT Rollback putter. In testing we realized it features the same Pure Roll face insert as the Spider X putter, but it does feel slightly firmer and sounds a pitch higher on impact. Interestingly though, the head is the same weight as the other Spider GT putters but does play a little lighter and that could be more beneficial for those who need more forgiveness or prefer a simple clean mallet putter.

Ball

TaylorMade TP5x

Higgs, like many other top players, uses the TaylorMade TP5x golf ball. It remains the firmer of the two models, and is faster, longer and higher-launching in the right hands. But a new, slightly softer, cast urethane cover helps it grip wedge grooves better for increased spin and a lower launch around the greens.

Harry Higgs and his caddie are very close - they're brothers. Alex is the younger of the two, and started caddying for the jovial Harry in February 2020. He played on the golf team with him at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, and had a stint as a professional golfer before regaining his amateur status.

Alex, who competed in the 2013 US Amateur, which was won by Matt Fitzpatrick, made the headlines during the 2021 PGA Championship because he was due to compete in the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball at Chambers Bay that weekend. Because he was carrying the bag for Harry, however, who was going into the weekend just four shots back, Alex decided to fulfil his caddying duties and stay by his brother's side. 

Speaking at the time, Alex, said; "It was a win-win going into the week for me. I love [my four-ball partner] to death, but I think I probably would have picked this outcome over the other one. We can always qualify next year."

Higgs, who describes his younger brother as one of "the best caddies in the game", ended up finishing in a tie for 4th, behind Phil Mickelson, Louis Oosthuizen and Brooks Koepka.

Part of their success is being able to add an element of fun on the course. Often, Alex will offers an incentive, in the form of cocktails, or money, if Harry pulls off a shot.

"Every now and again, you hit it in a bunker and you get up there and maybe you’re irritated it’s in a bunker but it’s in a good spot, and he’ll just say, 'Hey, man, $100 if you hole this,'" Harry said. "Like that just gets you in a good mood, in a good frame of mind to pull off a great shot."

The 16th hole has been the scene of some incredible moments this weekend and, on Sunday, during the final round of the Waste Management Phoenix Open, Harry Higgs and Joel Dahmen gave the fans a display that certainly won't be forgotten anytime soon, as both men celebrated Higgs' 10-foot par putt.

The American, who had flown the green on the iconic 16th, chipped up before rolling in his par putt, with the duo deciding to remove their shirts and celebrate with the 20,000 raucous crowd.

After finding out that the two would be paired together for the final round, Dahmen released a tweet, saying: "Dreams do come true! If we get enough retweets @harryhiggs1991 will take his shirt off on 16 tomorrow!" After rolling in his par putt, Higgs fulfilled his bet.

All of this action from the duo came literally an hour after Carlos Ortiz's hole-in-one at the very same hole! Not only did the 30-year-old make a hole-in-one, but he followed it up with an eagle at the driveable 17th.
