GolfBuddy Tour GPS
GolfBuddy Tour GPS review
An extremely easy GPS to set up and yardages seemed accurate when compared to other GPS devices on the market. The course was already on the unit and so didn't require any downloading before play. The unit did crash a couple of times and required a reboot, which was tricky to do because of a fiddly power switch. The option to plot your own targets was a nice extra, particularly as some hazards did not show up the first time around.
Why you can trust Golf Monthly
This GPS can be used straight out of the box as courses are already preloaded onto the device with the capacity to hold up to 20,000. On arrival the GolfBuddy will automatically track the course you are on. You also have the option to customise your own targets to find the exact yardage to lay-up areas and pin positions. A score recorder is also included.
The unit is extremely compact and did not need to be set up before going out to play. The screen is then easy to read out on the course.
The main toggle button is hard to operate as is the on/off switch. Lack of any sort of hole overview.
