Wilson Staff Spine fairway wood
Golf Monthly Verdict

We expected both the Spine fairway woods to be quite difficult to hit from tight lies, but found that the shallow head clipped the ball away nicely. Very forgiving on bad swings, but not quite as long when compared to a Wilson Staff Fybrid with the same loft.

Like last year's Wilson Staff Spine driver, the fairway wood (3-&5-wood) has had weight removed from the crown and placed around the perimeter to lower the centre of gravity. A "spine" runs from the face to the back of the head, which reinforces the impact area for improved distance - helped by a longer-than-standard shaft.
