Titleist 980F
Despite its small head this delivers an incredibly solid feel and long carry. The five wood pops the ball high up into the air and is also a good alternative from the tee as it'll go further than you're long irons. The compact grey metallic head is small and might not be the confidence inspiring head for the high handicapper. But it has quite a classic, attractive look that if you aren't scared you'll enjoy using. The Titleist 980F is reasonably priced and any buyer will enjoy using this classic looking club. Get the right shaft flex and any low handicapper is on to a winner.
Why you can trust Golf Monthly
The head has a deep centre of gravity for a more dynamic loft to promote a higher, longer carry. The small heads should also allow good players to work the ball through the air.
