No 35 - Wentworth - West
Another Harry Colt Classic, Wentworth's West Course provides a great variety of holes which meander through mature woodland and heather. A must-play for golf enthusiasts

With its bi-annual exposure on TV via the PGA Championship and World Match Play, the West has become one of the best-known and most recognisable courses in the UK.
Despite the somewhat corporate feel to the clubhouse and facilities, there’s no doubt that this Harry Colt design is hugely enjoyable with some great holes, every one of which is memorable.
It winds its way through mature woodland and heather, with few holes running parallel or adjacent to others.
There’s a wealth of golfing history, and despite the hefty green fee, it really is a must-play course. SP
+ Good variety of holes; great sense of occasion playing the course - Very expensive; peak conditioning based around championship times
